A nice little doll but over priced

My daughter received this mermaid - and another from the same collection after she wanted to sleep with her hard plastic tub toy mermaids - I surprised her with these sweet, soft mermaids for her to play and sleep with. She was SOOOO excited! She loves these dolls and plays with them daily and they go to sleep with her every night! These dolls are very pretty! They are sparkly and shiny and they are super soft!Construction of doll - I was somewhat surprised at the connection between the tail and the rest of the body - it feels like a small disc inside, but it doesn't affect the play or cuddliness of the doll. Her hair is made out of yarn, very nice quality, and soft. Body is a soft felted material, very cuddly. Her tail is a beautiful, sparkly material. She seems to be very well made and I believe she will last through all my daughter to put her through, over the next few years! Reasonably priced too!I highly recommend this doll to anyone who has a little girl who LOVES mermaids!

Cute little mermaid. I bought it as a gift for an 8-year-old girl who loves mermaids. The yarn hair is soft and the tail is darling. I really like all of Aurora's Mermaid dolls, but I got this one specifically as a gift for my grand niece to go along with the book by Jan Brett, "The Mermaid." The mermaid in this book has black hair. It's well made and the hair is full and thick. I'll probably be getting more of their mermaid dolls as my toddler twin grand daughters get a little older.
