Serious Steel Mobility & Recovery (Floss) Bands |Compression Band | Tack & Flossing Band (7' L x 2" W)

Update June 20, 2016:I ordered a second Serious Steel Mobility band to use during blood flow restriction leg work at the gym. It works extremely well in that application. I'm considering buying a third band to cut in two or 2 shorter bands to use for blood flow restriction work for biceps. I recently had laparoscopic knee surgery for a torn meniscus and I use these bands for rehab work. The black is heavy enough to use for band squats. It provides enough resistance for my rehab and I think it would also work for anyone who is beginning a fitness routine. They could be used for any type of band based exercise. Additionally, I actually use them to "floss" my muscles (one of their stated uses), and they shine in that application! Lots and lots of applications. Great versatility and quality for the price. I discovered Voodoo Floss during a physical therapist session and was amazed at the effect it had. I am happy to have another tool in my recovery arsenal. My PT used a band from a company that rhymes with vogue (not sure if I can use competitor brands in a review) but honestly, I cannot tell the difference. If I had to guess, these bands all come from the same place. I endorse this product.

I have arthritis in my knees and started to use this band at the suggestion of an athletic trainer. I saw results almost immediately 👍

Opted for the Serious Steel black floss band rather than the more well known name brand off a popular Crossfit supply site. Needed it for personal use in my home, so I only needed a single band. If you need two there's not much savings except the Prime free shipping. The band feels identical to the other big name brand, which I've used extensively at a Crossfit box, and has no damage or perceivable imperfections. I have been able to wrap it very tight and the tension on it feels the same as the tension on the other brand's black band.I am giving it 4 stars because the band, while clearly new and in a sealed package, came with a powdery substance on it out of the package. Presumably this happens during manufacturing. I do not have a rubber allergy (never any issues with other bands, lacrosse balls, other rubber items...), but the powdery substance causes a reaction on my skin sometimes. It's mainly on the sensitive skin on my face and mucous membranes (nose, eyes). The reaction is an uncomfortable light burning and slightly itchy feeling. If I do not touch my face and wash my hands immediately after using the band, I'm fine.Even with the minor problem, the band is very good and I am happy with my purchase. Serious Steel as a brand is appearing in more boxes, I trust their equipment, and would buy from them again.

This is an excellent product, and my first choice for the type of band. The best part is the non-slippage, as other brands will slide. Go ahead and purchase, and see for yourself how much better you will feel.

Like the title says: it wraps around your knee(and anything else it can wrap) like a Anaconda. But unlike an Anaconda you have control over where to place it, and how loose or tight you want, or need it. But just like an Anaconda this thing can apply more pressure(in applied area), or either the area becomes more sensitive as the day carries on. Furthermore it will take practice before you can perfectly apply this as it relates to comfort, effectiveness, and fitting. But in the meantime if your injury is in need of compression therapy & support buy, and use this product.
