HollonFB-845E 2 Hour Fire and Burglary Safe - 3.63 cu. ft.

Very substantial high quality construction. According to the shipper the weight is 527 pounds. According to the box that covered it, it is 431 pounds. Combination worked great right out of the box. The electronic keypad requires 4 AA batteries which are not included. It comes with a factory four-digit preset combination but you can change it to anything you want up to 8 digits. Also, multiple users (5) can have their own combination. The electronic lock keeps a log of who opened the safe and when, failed attempts and etc.THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW REGARDING THE DELIVERY:1. Be sure that you have your current phone number on your Amazon account profile. The freight company will be sent this information because they need to call you to arrange delivery. Someone must be at home to sign for the delivery. Mine was delivered via Averitt Express and they were great to deal with. My account had my old land line phone number which I had forgotten to change but remembered that fact after I placed the order. I called Averitt directly before they needed to contact me and the were no issues but if I had not thought of that, the delivery might not have gone so smoothly.2. The safe arrives in a box strapped to a small pallet. The delivery is for a curbside delivery. They are to lower it from the truck on the lift and roll it off with their pallet jack. I do not have a pallet jack and most people probably don't either. The driver was nice enough to roll it up my short driveway and into my garage. Unless you have paid for some additional service to bring it into your house and set it up, you will need assistance to do that even if you are very strong. I had help from a good strong friend who brought an appliance dolly and thick cardboard to protect my laminate floors. I also had a pre-cut piece of pile carpeting that I put the safe on with the pile side down next to the floor to protect the floor and make it easier to maneuver into its final position.3. When deciding where to place the safe in your home, be sure to allow room for the handle and the lock as they are not included in the exterior dimensions.

I bought a Hollon Spartan electronic safe very similar to this one directly from the manufacturer. I did not need to use it right away, so did not change the code. When I did, it turned out the safe would not lock. I called Hollon. Their service manager, Tom, told me that the service warranty was 90 days. I was about 20 days past that. I called the locksmith they recommended in my area. He was very experienced with this safe and told me that the manufacturer had installed the lock incorrectly, not allowing enough clearance for the bolts to work. I called the manufacturer back and let him know that the problem originated in production and that the locksmith would be happy to verify that for him. He said it did not matter as the 90 days were past, despite it being a manufacturing defect. I spent approximately $1000 on this safe and expect better customer service than that. I admit it was slightly past warranty, but never used, and surely for that price one would think you could expect the lock to be installed correctly by the manufacturer in the first place! The locksmith cost me $125. So thumbs down on Hollon for not installing the lock correctly in the first place!!

The media could not be loaded.  I had purchased my first Hollon safe back in 2013 and I loved it! Hollons customer service is also a great experience. I had my home broken into and my safe was damaged from people trying to break in, which they had no luck in doing so. Hollon replaced it for free. This safe the FB-845 is a step up in quality from the first one. It has thicker, and more reinforced sides/back as well as the glass relock for extra security. The door has 3 thick horizontal bars as well as a thick vertical bar that keeps the door from being opened if someone tries to cut the hinges off. Auto locks after 6 seconds and when the door closes, the lock automatically shuts, locking the safe. Highly recommended. Did come with a small dent in the door, but nothing to be worried about.
