I was really excited to get a britax for my 3rd baby. I have always used Graco but had been hearing from other moms how high the safety ratings were for britax and boasting about being steel enforced I had to try for myself. I unfortunately cannot afford the 300$+ so I went for the allegiance which was still but more affordable. Hoping the cheaper version didnt mean less safety options. When it arrived I found myself fighting with it from the start. It's very difficult to recline or change positions and there is no indication as to where or what position you are in. Or any instruction I found in the manual showing me how I know my child was in the right recline for rear facing. The other flaw is there is no level indicator of any sort. Except a sticker on the side stating maintain a certain degree from this line.... very frustrating I'm a mom on the go I need things to be easy and precise (no guessing) this left me feeling more flustered and unsure of if it was safely on position. Last and the biggest reason for my return. Everytime I put her in it I felt she did fit right. We would fight with readjusting the headrest which would not give me solid confirmation click when reaching the next height. The sides made its very difficult to get her into the seat. She never felt like she was sitting right or comfortable. I spent more time readjusting than actually driving with it. Therefor I'm sending back and going back to Graco.Plusses- it does seem very sturdy and from the outside it looks very safe and protectiveFaults- difficult to install, difficult to adjust, difficult to place child in. And overall non user friendly.

Love this car seat. I purchased it for a grandchild and it is perfect. I wanted a 5-point harness system so that was the only type I looked at. I had to buy a second one not long after and for some regrettable reason, bought a less expensive one. Mistake. I should have spent the extra money and bought a second one of these.

I bought yours carseat for my 7 month old(22lbs) and he fits perfectly in it. The package arrived within a week of ordering it. I'm not new to this particular carseat, I use the same one for my toddler and always loved how easy it was to install , light weight, reasonably priced, and rated one of the top safest carseat so I wanted the same one for my baby.

We are a 100% Britax family. We bought this for my husband's car. Easy install and just a great car seat as a whole. The only thing I don't like (unless I missed it) is no leveler to indicate if you have it reclined correctly. My son is 2 and will rear face until 4! He has a Britax Boulevard clicktight in my car that we love as well! The allegiance is for occasional use. The photo was of me properly fitting him in the seat before the install.
