You don't know what you are getting until you get it.
The product information says the hat is black but the underside is gray. Very, very disappointed. This has always been my favorite hat but in solid black with white letter.

It seems to be authentic, although it is kind of thin. My main problems are 1. It shipped in a bag. A fitted baseball hat, in a bag. The brim was so severely bent, it took 2 days of shaping to get it to wearable. 2. After about my 5th or 6th wear, it seemed to have shrunken. I keep a short hair cut, and haven't gained any weight, but the hat is really snug now.
