MUCH better than silicone scrubbers!
I have medium/high-density hair that is very fine. I've tried the silicone-tipped scrubbers and they can't get through my hair to my scalp. This scrubber brush is amazing for detangling, scalp massage, hair oiling, and shampooing. It is lightweight, easy to hold, and easy to clean. It's a few dollars more than other options, but worth the extra cost. I'm buying a second brush so that I can leave one in my shower and keep another in my nightstand for detangling and scalp massage before bed.

For this shape of the brush, glue the handle down. Otherwise, it's perfect.
I would suggest you use E6000 or Gorilla Glue on the handle, because at some point, the cones holding it will pop out. I bought this brush though because my fellow thick-haired friend suggested it and this model was the cheapest one. The actual brush itself is perfect. Idk what in the world it is but it takes every strand of this 4C mop and turns it into a smooth, wavy ribbon. That is the best way I can describe it, and the most accurate. It's so much easier for me to twist my hair when I use these Denman brushes so I went ahead and bought a D14 with an actual stick on it a few weeks ago for $16 from their website.

Worth the hype
Included are one before photo (in the coat with the frizz) and one after photo (with the curls and the joy). This brush is made of soft and flexible plastic that conforms to the shape of my hand. I have rather small hands, and I find it fits best if I slip my pinkie out of the handle and control the pressure with my thumb on the opposite side of the brush. Larger hands may find it more comfortable having their pinkie and their index finger outside the handle. It feels SO GOOD on my scalp. I don't know how much truth there is behind 'scalp massages really make your hair grow faster and thicker', I haven't looked into the science, and am still a little skeptical, but oh my gosh does it feel good. It feels so good. I had no idea how many LAYERS my hair had. I also had no idea how THIRSTY my hair was; I went through half a 1.5 liter spray bottle and still had a lot of dry patches while I was detangling for the first time. I don't use any products yet but if you only get to choose one (1) item to begin your hair repair journey with, this should be it.

It promotes hair growth, by stimulating the scalp
This little brush, I use to stimulate my scalp, increasing the blood supply, to stimulate growth!

GREAT scalp brush!!!!!
GREAT shampoo brush that we use to scalp treat our scalps with tea tree & peppermint essential oil, as well as rosehip seed oil, jojoba oil, etc. It really helps loosen dry scalp flakes and & work the EOS & / or oil into our scalps without scratching our heads raw. Even my VERY tenderheaded child does not complain, which is surprising because she complains about almost every brush. The bristles are DURABLE, yet NOT so sharp that they will draw blood (maybe they would if you really tried, but with normal to firm pressure they will NOT). They do a FABULOUS job of refreshing the scalp!! So far the handle is DURABLE too, unlike a few scalp brushes I had to return because they were so flimsy & stupidly sharp.. NOT this brush though.. it's PERFECT!! My father has been using Denman brushes for years & years, which is why I decided to try this scalp brush & pay a little more than some of the cheap-o Chinese junk brushes. I am SO glad I did!! The QUALITY matches their HIGH QUALITY hair brushes. I WOULD purchase this brush again!!

Good for me but maybe bad for you.
This brush has done a great job over the 2 years I've owned it. The bristles are firm and long enough to clean and massage my head/scalp. This item does an equal job with my beard and mustache. The only negative comment I can make on this brush is the handle. In the first week of use, one side of the handle popped out of the brush. The handle is a second piece of plastic that is set in place by friction pins. This is the weak link and can be fixed "DIY" with a roofing nail and a candle flame to melt the backside of the pin to the brush. For good measure, this should be done to each end of the handle. Over all, this is a good shampoo brush but be prepared to do minor surgery on it.

Great for multi purposes!!
I was “influenced” into buying this brush to massage scalp pre wash to get rid of build up but soon found myself using it to detangle and help wrap my hair! I come from the days with only wide tooth as the go to but these new age hair tools cater to finer 4c textures and I’m here for it!

Can't really use it as a scalp massager because it's too harsh on the scalp, so I use it as a detangler instead and it works... only the holder piece comes off every time and I have to reassemble it

The quality of the bristles is excellent , they are very soft and hence don't hurt the scalp. These are perfectly suited for men and easy to set hair. The price is on a higher side but afterall it's DENMAN.
