This is a very sturdy hose reel. I was so tired of buying hose reels that only last a few months and stop working! This hose reel has great workmanship. I'm happy I found it. I'm getting ready to order a smaller one for my dog kennel!

Love this retractable hose reel. Came very quickly. I put it up the day after it came. The 4 x 4 post I screwed it into was not plum, so I shimmed the bottom of the bracket to make the bracket plum. Very easy to install! Use it every day to clean up the patio after the dogs. Retractable system works awesome! Just need to watch how the hose reels up inside. This has a 10 year warranty, which is great! Very nice looking! I would highly recommend this. Can’t wait to just unhook it from the bracket and store for the winter.

I was determined to find a rugged, pivoting hose reel that my elderly father could use - so far so good on the Retracta. I installed it on a 4x4 post mounted on an anchor spike - very solid. Made a couple of upgrades: changed to a longer leader hose, and replaced the nylon (?) inlet elbow with a brass one as you can see in the photo.The Good: the hose is very flexible and lightweight Stay tuned on how long it lasts, but it looks to be easy to replace. The reel pivots nicely and the hose pulls out easily with loud clicks (that I like) to let you know if the ratchet is engaged to stop the hose vs. having it retract. The spring retraction is strong (and adjustable if needed) - it pulls the hose back in whether it is still pressurized or not. We like to walk the hose in instead of letting it go.The Challenging: nothing distributes the hose on the reel, so it will bunch up on one side or the other which stops it retracting. Requires pulling it back out a bit and manually guiding it side to side on the reel as it retracts. No big deal, but takes a little practice. Also, the hose has a good bit of stretch to it, so its easier to retract it from mid-point instead of pulling it from the end.Hope it lasts a long time!

This was my 3 hose reel in the past 4 years, as the others I tried were just junk. This one is built like a tank with a real metal mounting bracket instead of cheap plastic. The hose is not just cheap plastic that is stiff and inflexible. In fact, it the most flexible hose I have ever used. If I hold it in my hand, it drapes over the back of my hand like a wet noodle. This was a very pleasant surprise. The reel itself feels very substantial and it can stop at virtually any position with no fuss. It winds back up level on the spool, but it does have a very powerful spring which will whip it back a blinding speed which can cause damage if not careful. I just simply walk it back and it works perfectly. Better than the previous reels I had that struggled to get it all back in on the spool. The topper is the 10 year warranty so I should not have to replace it every 2 years.

Love how it's a simple solution. To begin with it's a piece of cake to install. The hose is flexible and easy to handle. And it retracts reliably.Someone said it doesn't flow volume because of the diameter: No idea what they're talking about. It flows well, lots of pressure.I think it looks nice: It folds against the house. And there is satisfaction in buying a product from our Aussie friends.All together we've bought two, we'll end up buying another two within a month or so.

Sturdy and easy to use, retracts smoothly , and looks much better than tha off shore competitors.

This is installed inside a garage. I haven’t used it a handful of times and the ratchet has stopped working. Now what? Beyond my return window and looking for help. This was not cheap it shouldn’t have done this.Looking further into the unit screws were missing and this seemed tampered with. Maybe someone’s return.Update. The company quickly addressed my issue and is sending out a replacement. Great customer service. Fingers crossed on new unit but I’ll probably buy another one.

Can only tighten tension not loosen it. My wife needs to pull out hose 50 feet and after about 25 feet it is too hard for her. She is in her mid seventies and has health problems. Should have made a way to loosen the set tension.
