Q: Will It hold a first generation echo?

I didn't use this for the first generation Echo, but did for the Echo Spot. The thickness at bottom is more or less the same so it would fit it ... not sure how much space you have from the outlet to any ledge or shelving. The first generation Echo's are much taller than the Echo Spot. This product worked perfectly and was easy to install.

Q: Can i use my air wick

Definitely not with the shelf mounted in the position above the outlet as shown in the demo pictures. If you flip it so the shelf is below the outlet like in some of the user reviews it might work but know you would lose about have the shelf space, so OK if you are just putting a cordless toothbrush/charger next to the air wick but not enough room for the air wick and a google hub or echo show.
