Signature Design by Ashley Cross Island Traditional Sofa Table with 2 Drawers and 1 Base Shelf, Light Brown

This is a really nice piece of solid furniture. Earlier this year I bought one in Ohio from a local furniture dealer and it was delivered assembled and it was perfect. I liked it so much I decided to buy another one in Tennessee. Since it was available from Amazon (and a little cheaper) I ordered it. It arrived in a box. I had to assemble it. Assembly wasn't hard but the top part was at the bottom of the box and I didn't see the damage until it was all unpacked. I considered returning it but since the damage was on the back corner which would not be accessible I decided to keep it. Moral: I'm not sure I would order any wood furniture from Amazon in the future. The small savings didn't make up for the assembly and damage.

The table itself is quite nice, sturdily constructed and well-designed with regard to installation. Initially, however, the wrong item was shipped to us. Amazon was most helpful in getting this resolved and refunding the purchase price from the first attempt to purchase the table. The second attempt was much more successful, inasmuch as we received the expected item. But, unpacking revealed that one of the four fluted wooden 5/16" dowel pins was missing. These pins secure the mission style shelf back to the back legs. Thankfully, I was able to find a replacement at our local home improvement store. With that in hand, the rest of the assembly proceeded normally. I'm reducing the overall rating and assembly rating from 5 stars to 4 only because of the initial shipping problem and because of the missing dowel pin. If the right table had been shipped initially, and if nothing had been missing, this would definitely be a 5 star review -- we really like the table.

Great value. I paid about the same for a similar table that disappointed me. I took a chance on this one and was very pleasantly surprised by the weight and detail. I had a bit of trouble with one leg. One leg was angled rather than notched for the bottom shelf. I tried everything to assemble without needing to return the item and finally broke out my own chisel and put the notch in myself. The exposed wood does not show since it is under bottom shelf. Overall, I love the table, slightly frustrated that it took me going the extra mile to get thru the final assembly.

I really like the look of this sofa table. The Signature Design is very attractive. Very easy to put together.Packaging was very good, which helped since the box was beat up pretty bad. No damage to the table.However, a missing dowel connection with the back section, and 2 broken corner pieces required some work on my part to repair.

Once the table was out of the box there was no way to repack and return. Happy my husband is handy. The table came damaged with no signs of it until we removed it from the box. One of the legs had a chip that my husband was able to glue back in place, and the top edge of the table was dented. He was able to fill and stain the dent so it does not stand out.

My table arrived in great condition and is actually even better looking than pictured.A male friend helped me put it together and we had no trouble at all. Everything fitperfectly and although the instructions were more pictorial than worded it was reallynot very difficult to figure out. This table is actually the same as another tablelisted on Amazon "Signature Design by Ashley T719-4 Cross Island Sofa Table"and shipped by the same company in both ads and sold at the same price.I found the price to be reasonable and quite a lot less than the same table listedon other furniture sites. The tags on it read Signature Design by Ashley.

This arrived in a box that showed no visible damage but was probably not adequate enough for the weight of this item. Upon opening, three of the corners under the top were damaged and the wood was split. Since the outside showed no damage, we decided to glue and repair the damage and allow it to sit overnight with clamps. Many of the screws were not long enough so we had to replace those. The back portion had a dowel broken off so we had to drill that out and replace it. There are minimal pieces to assemble and this should have been done in an hour at most. Because of all of the repairs it was over a day. I should have returned the whole thing but knew that would be a hassle. Now that it is together I am ok with the final product. I am just disappointed that what should be a nice and new piece of furniture is one with so many repairs.
