Twelve Inch 80s: Digging Your Scene / Various

I'm just a sucker for some remixed 12 inch 80's crap and this 3 cd set gives it to you in spades. Sure, most of these were not really hits here in the States, but there are enough of the "ones people recognize" and some nuggets they should familiarize themselves with. Wax, Haircut 100 and Fiction Factory to name a few. The remixes are not necessarily danced up versions, but more extended like hey, let's lengthen that sax solo. But whatever, it is flashback city for anyone who was into college radio in the 80's so break out your black eyeliner and Chess King shirts while we smoke a Pall Mall listening to this stuff.

Should be 'almost called worse of 80s music. Second and third disc are just terrible! Cheap paper cover as well! Why so many good feedbacks?

with so many 80's compilations on the market it is hard to find one that is perfect - a lot stick to the likes of the human league, Spandau, visage and the more electronic hits of the 80s that reached the top of the charts. This 3 cd is quite refreshing as some of the tracks may have been lesser hits but are still well known and I found a few that I had not seen on other compliations - at £5.00 for 3 cds you cant go far wrong!! love having the 12" mixes of psychedelic furs - pretty in pink lotus eaters - first picture of you furniture - brilliant mind japan - European son toyah - don't fall in love fiction factory - feels like heaven most of the others I have but are great tracks! a few strange ones I personally could do without bridge to your heart - wax je suis un rock star - bill wyman but on the whole a great alternative collection!
