Watch the assembly video!
Still giving this five stars. It you will need to watch the assembly video. Impossible to assemble otherwise. Very well build and great price. Just need to watch video took me over an hour to figure it out until I found the video. Then plan about 30-45 mins to figure it out.

Sturdy, pretty easy to assemble.
I got the smaller, 6U. Added a shelf to store the Raspberry Pi and the 8 port switch (which will get rack mounted once I attach the "ears").Came well packed and no damage.Instructions are a little cryptic, but fairly easy to figure out.

Assembly experience
Just so much harder than it had to be because of short shrift instructions and just over a minute video that adds nothing. Instructions for removing the side and front doors were okay. After that, you can pretty much throw them away, except they do provide a framework for the order of assembly. The first problem I ran into was where the rails fit. After wasting 45 minutes to try to figure that out, I decided skip that step, with the thought in the back of my mind that not mounting the rails would result in me having to disassemble. I didn't use any of the mounting hardware except for the washers. I had four 2 1/2 inch stainless steel that I used. I used a drill bit to drive a pilot, which really helps to sink the screws. I mounted the side door frames which lines with the back plate. Next slide the bottom of the tray - bit tricky but make sure the plate rests on the lip of the back plate - there are no screws that hold it in, but it was surprising sturdy. Next is the top plate which snaps in similarly to the bottom plate. Next is the front frame and it has places for four screws. I revisited the rails and to my surprise they could be screwed in to place with no difficulty. At that point, I left off all the doors and essentially began transitioning my network. I bought two shelves that I wouldn't recommend as they had some alignment issues, but I managed to get them to work. I added the Pyle power strip, and it's not really that functional - access to outlets is very difficult and most adapters will use the space of at least two of the outlets. But it looks good. I re-routed all the wires and moved my router and modem - see picture. Then I added the doors and the ground cable. I'm sure I'll modify the wiring later as I look to add another network device and maybe a couple of hubs. But before I do that I want to add a couple of fans. I was expecting the unit to have fans and it's not marked that they are not included. Moreover, would have been nice if the seller had recommended a fan that is available online. I think the unit should have included a couple of shelves as I think it's going to take some experimentation to find the best way to use the space.

Great cabinet: buy cage nuts too!
I was skeptical when I saw the package, and I was underwhelmed by the single sheet instructions. That being said, it went together easily and smoothly. It's easy to work in and it makes for a tidy network cabinet. It's a sturdy structure for sure. They included a few cage nuts too, which is really kind. I suggest picking up a box of cage nuts and bolts however, because there's only a few included. It does include concrete anchors for mounting it, but if you plan to mount to a stud wall, I suggest bringing lag bolts.I'm happy overall, and would buy it again.*Update* I did buy another unit for a second deployment. No issues with either unit. Same sketchy looking box.

Such a solid enclosure!
This server rack is a solid choice for home or small office setups. It's well-built, easy to install, and provides plenty of ventilation. The locking door is a must-have for security, and the cable management features are helpful. It's not the fanciest rack out there, but it gets the job done reliably.

Really poor quality compared to StarTech DO NOT recommend
I originally bought a Startech 6U server rack in March for my home network setup. The rack came fully assembled., it was in great shape from shipping, and the quality was good.I eventually outgrew that rack and needed to purchase a 12U one. I should have just purchased the star tech again, but instead tried this cheaper competitor and immediately regretted it.First of all, the rack came damaged because they load all of the panels inside the large front cover without securing them. So the whole time the unit is shipping, the panels inside are banging against the top and bottom of the front cover. By the time it arrives, the front cover has multiple dents all over it .Secondly, the instructions are poor, and the images reference a different model entirely. It’s a fairly straightforward piece to put together so that’s not a huge deal but it’s still an annoyance.Third, the overall quality is very inferior to the 6U Startech unit that I have. For example, the Torx screws will not thread into the holes to mount the front and back covers to the side panels. It’s just poor quality control, as the side panel holes are too small for the Torx screws. You basically have to bore bigger holes to get them to fit properly.Of course, this unit is big, bulky, heavy, and once you open the package there’s no getting it back in in order to return it. So if you open up the box, you’re basically stuck with the unit. Unfortunately, I’ll probably just be ordering a different model from Startech and giving this one away unless it’s refunded.

Great Value for the money
This product was fairly simple to put together. The instructions could have been clearer, but a little common sense is sufficient. I really like the mounting template, it came in handy.
