Really long reach, lightweight, works well for trimming wisteria vines
I bought this because I'm getting too old to clamber up the wrought iron on my porch and hang by one hand while trimming our wisteria with a hand trimmer. Not too old to clamber and balance on the wrought iron, just too old to fall. This reaches most of the vine inside the porch along the roofline without even using the extension. With the extension I can stand in my driveway and trim all along the roofline outside. It feels like it's made well. The mechanism inside that makes it work is metal. It even comes with a schematic diagram in case you do need to fix it. It's sharp! I've cut through pinkie-finger-sized branches. I don't know if it will work with anything larger, but it works well for vines. I've been using it about every third day for over a month and it's still good.

Extremely useful pruner, only wish I bought it years ago
After a half year of use my only regret is not purchasing it sooner. I use it for a massive rose bush, various climbing vines, and shrubs. It allows for a very close, clean prune like a hand pruner and far better than a pole pruner. It has almost completely eliminated my need to use a ladder and I'm considering a longer reach version now for the few areas which I can't reach. Lightweight makes it painless to use for hours. I find it quite sturdy and regularly exceed the 1/2" cutting limit for green rose stalks; for hard wood rose 1/2" may take effort but is possible. High carbon blades stay wickedly sharp and no problem with rust. Totally worth the cost for me.

it IS the length that matters
I know this brand and it's very good quality. My issue / question here is..Does it Really take over a year to correct a crucial dimensional bit of information? (Rhetorical)It's easy to miss the discrepancy and a hassle when you have to return because it's a different length thanyou'd expected.

Made out of metal and light enough to use for hours
I immediately started using this after it arrived and man is this the way you go. Those cheaper pole pruners you see being sold are half plastic and 2-3x the weight of this. Basically every part of this is made out of metal and feels well built. At the same time it's incredibly light weight but it easily goes through half inch branches like butter. Also the length adjustment is very easy to use and secure.Note that this 180 part number doesn't include the cut and hold capability if you need that but it can cut wider half inch branches and is lighter in weight at the same time. I didn't need the cut and hold capability because everything I'm cutting is in a position where it's okay got the branches to fall directly to the ground after cutting.

Telescope pruner
It is a great pruner, easy to use and light weight!! Love the telescope feature. I had an older model that lasted for years, that is why I bought another one, which has many more good features.

Description is wrong
They have the wrong description for this model -- they say it telescopes from 6-10 feet but that is the ARS LA-180ZF305 model which is more expensive. I will be returning. PLEASE CHANGE THE DESCRIPTION!

Quality lightweight telescoping pruner
This is a quality pruning tool for trimming smaller branches (1/2" diameter) and shrubs. It is very sharp and cuts excellent at the stated 1/2" diameter size, and is extremely easy to use. I bought their larger model as well for large diameter branches.

Over priced
As a every day user of these trimmers. I will say that they are way over priced for what they do. I have $40.00 pole pruners that cut way easier and cuts larger limbs up to one inch no problem. These pruners seem to struggle with anything over a 3/8 limbs. Almost feels like you are stretching the steel cable inside. What I do like is the design of the unit. Easily adjusts and works well on fine pruning and tipping. I now use them like my hand FELCO pruners which cost under 40.00. That will cut a 1/2 " limb like butter!! I purchased these mostly for thinning Crapemyrtles and tipping but was disappointed with not being able to cut a 1/2" limb with out struggling.

Tres bonne qualite - Very good quality
A well made product. "Made in Japan". The head rotation and the easy extension make this very useful. It cuts up to 1cm green wood. If fine twigs jam between the blades, then tighten the head nut (10mm) 1/8 of a turn, no more. Don't forget to oil the mechanism.

Fiable et ergonomique.
Outils intelligent et de bonne facture. Bonne tenu dans le temps avec un minimum d’entretien, le précédent m’ a lâché après dix ans d’utilisation !
