2 Replacement for Liftmaster Chamberlain Sears Craftsman 893MAX Garage Door Opener Remote 2 Pack

These work great. My garage door is a commercial door so doesn't have a learn button just a radio button. The instructions with the door did not work and the instructions with the remote did not address this issue. Finally got it after some trial and error. Not the fault of the remote so can't lower the rating. Otherwise they work great.

These replacements openers work great. I've only just programmed them, but they are working as intended, and just in time. Our remote that came with the garage door opener was old and wouldn't always work. I had noticed the range was getting shorter and shorter. The day these showed up was the day that old remote finally quit working.The programming of the remote took a little trial and error on my part to figure out. Once I figured out the correct sequence (that was clearly stated in the instructions) for my opener, it was easy to set up.I recommend and approve of this product.

Once programmed, these remotes work just fine. HOWEVER, be aware that, at least for my Chamberlain 893 openers, the programming instructions have two errors which will prevent you from successfully programming the remote. The step where the instructions tell you to press the "learn" button once on the opener control that is permanently mounted, you actually have to press it twice. Chamberlains on-line written instructions contain the same error, but their on line video correctly says to press learn twice. One problem solved.Also, the included instructions tell you how many times to press the remote button according to the color of the learn button. My buttons did not match any of the shown options: again, the video was the key to getting the correct procedure.

It's not as simple as the instructions make it out to be. I have programmed many remotes and have had no problem. I went through all the instructions to a tee and nothing worked. After much time, I was finally able to get one to work - for a few minutes. After spending more time trying to figure out how to keep the programming connection on one I thought I got it so I started to program the other one. Even more time was wasted because at first it didn't want to program and then after I took it back in the house, it randomly clicked and the second one was programmed however, the first one was no longer connected. I trouble shooted so much - programmed, cleared, progammed, cleared, on and on. To make matters worse, I can't even get my older remote to reprogram now. Something isn't right with these remotes. As soon as I can get my old one to connect again, I will be returning these.

Works as intended with my 2011 Liftmaster. Just need to follow the exact steps described for this to pair and work. I had to look at the garage door main unit to find out the model and year. The rest was just following the direction. Cant complain. Comes with the battery.
