This book is the bible for backyard bird feeders, and for anyone that is interested in learning more about what birds eat in the wild and what foods you can provide in your feeders for them. I have been thoroughly enjoying every page of this book. Beautiful photography and writing make this book very engaging. I will be gifting this book to my newbie birder friends this Christmas.

Great bird feeding book packed with information on backyard birds, feeding tips, different types of feeders, how to attract, how and when to clean, and more.Attractive, sturdy and well put together with beautiful photographs. For anyone thinking about starting to feed backyard birds or those who have done it for awhile. Worthy of a space on any birder’s bookshelf or coffee table.

I never leave reviews but this book warrants a review. By far the most through book on the market in regards to the do's and don'ts of bird feeding. Offers great advice on placement of feeders in the yard, how to deter nuisance black birds, squirrels, raccoons, bears, etc. It talks about the different types of feed available and what to buy (and not buy) to attract specific birds. I've followed some of the suggestions and have definitely seen a greater variety of birds over the last couple years.Additionally, it has a great section that serves as an easy reference for bird identification with clear, colorful pictures. This book covers it all for bird enthusiasts, I've purchased as a gift for friends at least 3 or 4 times now. Strongly recommend.

Very helpful info for novice and seasoned bird feeders/watchers alike.Well written and the photos are lovely. Inspiration and education for every bird hobbyist.Highly recommend.Especially helpful guidance for those of us just starting out in bird feeding.

Anything you might want to know about attracting and feeding birds is in this book! It's filled with useful info. Even though we've been feeding birds in our backyard for years, we have learned so much more. Highly recommend.

This is THE book to get for a "wing nut". It talks about different birds. But it's main purpose is how to make your yard the most attractive to the birds. It's easy to read and has beautiful photographs. It gives accurate information and doesn't try to sell you anything. Just tips and how to's that anyone can use with budgets big and small. Best book for the border.

Very nice book

I expected a slightly worn book considering that fantastic price. What a surprise (& relief) to receive a beautiful book in absolutely brand-spanking-new condition. I am delighted and now I get to feast my eyes on a wonderful book all about feeding the wild birds...can't wait!

The book is like new. It is very informative about attracting birds.

I sure wish that this book had been around 10 years ago when I was buying Bird Feeders and trying to set up Bird Feeding Stations. Most of the advice I have had to learn through trial and error so I highly recommend it for anyone who loves feeding birds! It is just this year that I have started using platform and ground feeders and I can't say enough good things about them. I have included a photo of one of my Christmas/Winter Bird Feeding Stations! I haven't gotten far enough to see what is recommended for keeping deer out but I myself have adapted a Trellis with a Seat (so I can stand on the seat to comfortably fill my feeders) along with several individual trellis' which form a fence to keep 'Bambi' at bay! I leave the gate open in the daytime as our Wild Merriam Turkey's like to snack from the little bowl containing 'fruit' treats and also in the platform feeder with a roof! This would be a wonderful gift for anyone who loves feeding birds!

This book is excellent, beautiful pictures and a ton of birds to look at.
