Moshi ClearGuard Keyboard Protector for MacBook Pro 15 & MacBook Pro 13 (2016-2019/US Layout), 0.1 mm Thin, Washable & Reusable, Non-Toxic, High Transparency, for MacBook Pro 15"-13"

I was using a free keyboard silicon cover that I got from another Amazon vendor for my MB Pro 13" with the Touchbar. It ended up stretching and didn't fit well and it started fading as well. I knew it was time to get a replacement. I decided to try these out even though they're on the more expensive side. I'll have to say this was worth the money as the fit is perfect. The feel is great, and I can see all my buttons again. The TouchBar works perfectly even though it's covered, and the best part is that the case can now close completely. I haven't used it enough to know if it will transfer the oils to the screen, but it seems like it should be thin enough to prevent that from happening. We shall see. First impressions are 5 stars.*UPDATE* a couple of days of rigorous typing and no oily smears on the screen. My Macbook Pro is also able to close completely.

Anyone who has used the classic 50 cent rubber keyboard covers knows that within a matter of days they will be stained, falling apart, and never stay in place over the keys. Moshi's product is held down, perfectly cast, and makes the Macbook Pro's keys nice and quiet, while not completely reducing the feel of the keys. Pretty solid product - though, it does seem that the cover is fairly pliable - if you pick at the edges, etc., it'll pretty quickly start to come up on the corners. Would have liked to see more edge-focused adhesive, like on the top of the touch bar or middle of the sides, to ensure the edges stay flush.

First of all, if this keyboard cover doesn't fit, you've purchased the wrong model for your MacBook. This thin almost not there keyboard cover fits perfectly, and for some reason the tactile response of the keyboard is even better with this keyboard cover on than with it off. Highly recommend, especially since the butterfly keyboard on the newer Macs are prone to failure from dust and dirt.

There are two adhesive strips that are supposed to keep the keyboard cover in place. The two strips are peeling off and the cover moves around when typing. Also, the cover has seemed to warp and does not fit snug around all the keys. I find it odd that the cover has warped. I rarely type on the MacBook keyboard as I use an external wireless keyboard 90% off the time. I haven't washed the cover, nor placed it in any extreme temperature conditions.I've previously owned a moshi keyboard cover for my late 2011 MacBook Pro which is still in great condition under heavy use for many years. It's very unfortunate that this one has not held up in a matter of less than 2 months. I'm hoping the seller will send a replacement in order to see if I received a defective cover. Until then, I will have to recommend others to stay away from this cover and try an alternative as Moshi may not the best one for your MacBook.

Great product. Fits my 2017 MacBook Pro 15 in. with touch bar perfectly. It stays affixed to the keyboard with the two invisible adhesive strips with no slipping & sliding. Very satisfied with product.

I appreciate the thinness of this cover, since it doesn't get in the way of typing or shutting my laptop, but the adhesive strips are kind of a joke. I've carefully wiped down the areas they're supposed to fit, washed the cover and let it air-dry, then pressed them into place with the corner of a credit card... they come up almost immediately and the cover shifts around. It's not enough to prevent typing, but it moves most when I'm trying to type quickly, and the flappy-ness is a real pain when I use the delete key. My fingers are generally sweaty and that corner of the cover tends to stick to them a little and peel up. I'm looking into other covers.

I've found that this does not stick super well over time. The cover also picks up skin oil real easy and its hard to get off. It doesn't really hamper typing at all which is nice, and it works well with the touchbar, even the 2017 15" MacBook Pro. It does its job, but its starting to look kind of gross or unattractive on my Macbook keyboard with the skin oil it absorbs. Keys look cloudy on certain ones, etc. There are just two small lines of sticky on this. Clean your keyboard well before applying. I put this on my Macbook Pro right after I bought it. The corners are not real stuck, so its a little annoying.

I had a Moshi Clear Guard for my mid 2012 Mac Book Pro, and 6 years later, it was still going strong. hen I got a new Mac Book Pro with Touch Bar, I bought this version for the new keyboard style, and wow, it is even better than the last one. These keys on the 2016 and newer Mac Book Pros (Touch Bar) are much shallower and have less travel, so I was skeptical about how a keyboard protector would work with them.But I have once again been impressed with Moshi's product. You can clearly see the keys and backlight, as well as the Touch Bar. It is almost like the protector is part of the keyboard, the feedback is flawless when pressing a key. I recommend this product to anyone looking for a quality keyboard protector.
