Classic Plush Bonded Leather Power Lift Recliner Living Room Chair, Large, Brown

This chair we have purchased 2 of in the past year! My grandmother has Alzheimer’s, it is simple and easy to stand up and sit down using this chair as well as the quality of this chair. Only downfall is that when you finally get your feet up, it’s a sudden change from your feet up to almost laying down completely which I noticed my grandmother doesn’t love. We also purchased one for my dads Mom who loves it and uses it all of the time! Simple enough for loved ones to use, safe, and easy for those who struggle to sit down or stand up. Super comfortable!

It works well for what it was intended for. Fabric was not as advertised and due to the extreme poor packaging the controller was smashed under the chair frame. Overall quality of the chair structure is weak, but you get what you pay for

Edit: After 2-1/2 weeks of use the back broke on one side while I was reclined and the bracket was bent and wouldn’t pop back in. The manufacturer was hard to get in touch with because they only answer the phone once in a while and their voice mail boxes were full so I couldn’t leave a message, but once I got a human on the phone and sent them some pics of the defect they gave me a full refund with no hassle.My original 5-star review:I bought this specifically because it is smaller than average and I wanted something that would actually fit me at 5’1”. It is perfect. It’s also nice to have a smaller footprint since my house is tiny.The chair is also very comfortable (soft, plush padding) and will work well for sleeping in after I have major surgery next week. The motor is very quiet and the transition is generally smooth. (Every once in a while there’s a little jolt but it’s not significant and it’s not most of the time.)When reclining, the footrest moves more quickly at the beginning so that you can still sit upright somewhat while having your feet up. Then the back picks up a bit. It’s a good balance.

If memory serves me correctly we just took it out of the box and plugged it right in. We love it. We actually bought it for my uncle who was battling brain cancer this helped all of us when transferring him from chair to wheelchair. He spent alot of hours on this chair.

Purchased off Amazon vendor!I have a disabled brother with Muscular Dystrophy with physically limitations and challenges. I thought this item would benefit him well assisting him getting on/off of the chair. Having had this chair since June 16th, 2017 (10 months) spending $377.11, the lift mechanism broke snapping off the main frame of chair, which no longer lifts. Furniture Mania will not warranty or guaranty any type of replacement or repair services for this product. What a waste of hard earned monies and unfortunate for my disabled brother's needs.****Who would of imagined this item breaking under 10 months of use! COMPLETELY SUCKS!***Don't buy this chair from this vendor. It's made with cheap materials!

This chair is exactly what we were looking for to give my mother extra help standing up after her stroke. It is easy to assemble, simple to operate, and looks great in her living room.

Update Sept 2018So, the chair was amazing, initially. Unfortunately, the chair lift system is plastic and though my grandma is small/average in size, just repetitive use resulted in the plastic motor mount breaking. I can't see how to fix this without replacing the whole motor and I can't even see where or how to get the part needed to fix this. If you are seriously shopping these, make sure you see how the mechanism works underneath the chair. If the parts are plastic, the company has decided to cut costs on the most important part of the chair, the lifting mechanism. Right now, the chair is useless to us and at $375 with taxes, that's outrageous.-----------Original review March 2018So far, so good. 86 year old grandma no longer wrenching her shoulder to activate the footrest on her old (oversized) recliner. The physical size of this chair is much better and the fact that it sits a bit more on the firm side works better for her to get in and out of the chair. Her former recliner was way to big and squishy so she would rock to get out of it. In addition to this actually ejecting her from the seat, if she needs extra help, once it is level with the leg rest down, she can stand up just by using the arm rests to help herself up. This chair is a game changer for us. My grandma is somewhere around 4'8" (I'd guess) and somewhere around 160lbs (also a guess). Basically, the chair is perfect for someone with a smaller frame.
