This is probably one of the better brands I've tried. No chemical taste and allegedly no artificial aromas added. I believe those that claim it has a weird or metallic taste are not familiar with this flavor in general. As many know, truffle oil has a strong flavor and seems to be an acquired taste. I've found you either love it or hate it. I mainly use it to make Parmesan Truffle Fries (I'm addicted) or pasta with truffle-cream sauce. Note that while truffle oil has a strong taste and aroma, white truffle oil (this) has a slightly less pungent flavor than black truffle oil and is more suited for the light dishes I mentioned above. It arrived perfectly secure without leaks in a protective tin canister. I'm on my second bottle and so far this will be my go-to brand. I won't expand on its use, as I assume those inquiring about it are familiar with its application.NOTE: I purchased this item on Amazon for full price and have no affiliation to the seller. I was a little leery when the package arrived as there was one tiny piece of a truffle in the oil, and I had read both the good and bad reviews. It was so flavorful and better Quality than all the restaurants I’ve had it at! The bottle is very small, but it will last you forever, a little goes a long way! (Pea size drop is enough if you’re cooking for one) I looked at several other brands for 15 before choosing this one, and I am very pleased. It’s worth every penny! Don’t get cheap with your oil!

First forage into the world of truffle oil... Excellent Truffle oil! Did my research and there seemed to be a few negative reviews out there about flavour souring and this seemed like one of the better ones out there and claims not to be synthetically flavoured. Quite potent stuff and you don't need a lot: A little goes a long way. This one looks like it has little piece of truffle sitting in the oil, so it's convincing that it's the real deal and not synthetic. Glad I didn't purchase bigger bottle. --> Note I just bought my second bottle. A little goes a long way!

I bought this because I hoped it would have the scent of real white truffles...and it does! Wonderful drizzled on pasta and...surprise...puree some cauliflower and spread on fettunta (garlic toast) then drizzle a bit of white truffle oil for a great crostino. I threw out the other truffle oil I was using because it smelled like chemical, not truffle.. This Urbani is now my go to. The only criticism, and the reason for the 4 star rather than 5, is that the bottle top is not ideal. It has no drop dispenser, so it is difficult to control the amount dispensed. Also, something about it is not air tight...when it arrived there was a (wonderful) scent of truffle in the package. Also the bottle had come loose from the little cylindrical box, so they were just bumping around in the package. However there didn't seem to be any leakage, and it seems unharmed.

Was looking for truffle oil that packs a big punch, unfortunately, this one is just so-so. Came in beautiful packaging and undamaged. Be careful drizzling as well because with the big wide opening you may end up over-pouring. Next time we need truffle oil we will buy our trusted Urbani White Truffle Oil which has a stronger truffle taste.

My 1st time trying White Truffle Oil was a terrific success. Preparing filets was a breeze ~ with pastry brush, I brushed lightly on both sides of the Filets then added dash of salt and pepper. LESS is more ~ It takes just a wee tiny amount of oil to work the magic. Also used it with steamed veggies ... just a dab but was a delightful enhancement to the taste. Tonight will add a small amount to tossed salad ~ It didn't come with recommendations so I'm just "trying" it on different foods. Not the fault of Seller but the lid was off the can packaging and the bottle was half out of can when I opened the plastic bag used by shipper.

Good quality truffle oil. You can smell it once you open the cylinder the bottle comes in. I’ve used it a few times already with no complaints. Potent enough for my liking. **On a seperate unrelated note, I wish the Amazon delivery drivers were more careful with the packages and wouldn’t throw them or leave them in the middle of my front porch for easy access for criminals. I’ve caught this too many times already and it doesn’t matter how many times I contact their “customer support” and they tell me they’ve put in “special instructions” for the drivers. Same stuff happens every...single...time.
