I reduced the number of stars as you can’t use the tool to its full potential because the app is not available for UAE geolocation. Battery life is very good. Still trying to experiment with various jobs. Will update soon

This is a battery powered Dremel drill on steroids. Usual build quality however this model uses a BLDC motor and not the older brushed motor. Better motor control and efficiency. This is really nice and I recommend this product. I had the older battery powered drill and this is a great upgrade.

Outstanding bit of kit, really useful for dozens of small, inaccessible and tricky jobs, but you need to buy the Dremel mini chuck to get full use. Carry bag is underwhelming but does the job.

I used it to cut thin fiberglass with the right bit, but I would not recommend this model at all. I thought it would be more durable.

I love the Dremel tools. I’ve been using an 8220 cordless model for over a year now, mainly for wood carving. Since I’ve managed to sell some of the carvings I’ve made, I decided to invest some of the money back into my tools and try the brushless version. The main things I’ve noticed about this model is that it’s slightly quieter and feels a bit ‘smoother’ and nicer to use. I always use my dremels with a flexshaft but the sound of the motor in this brushless model is nicer than the older model and also the battery life is definitely better. I had to buy a second battery for my 8220 quite quickly but this model is improved enough that it’s not quite so necessary to immediately buy another one! The difference in power is also apparent with this model compared to my other cordless Dremel. So in summary, I’d say this Dremel is a worthy upgrade or amazing addition to anyone’s collection since the power and battery life are both improved and the motor is quieter.
