Like many of the Neewer products, this is well built and supplied at a great price.It is light, solid, and does the job. I am using it with a mirrorless camera, an external monitor, microphone on a short extension arm, plus I have added a matt box. There are plenty of mounting points for all that and more, but it is light enough that I can still use it as a hand-held stabiliser. (Not the same as a gimbal!).The one downside it the camera mount. It is a large screw that is quite fiddly to use.So I have added an adapter and quick release plate from. This also matches the mounting on my video tripod, so the camera can mount into the cage or the tripod, and the cage onto the tripod very quickly now.But be warned, the internal hight is limited, so depending on your camera, you might not have the room for an adaptor. My camera is small enough so that I got away with it.Overall, I am very pleased, and this completed the rig I wanted for shooting my cooking videos that no one watches!

This thing is exactly what you want if you're looking for a good sturdy camera cage... that happens to be cheaper that some of the other ones.But seriously. It's pretty great. It's got a nice bit of weight so that adds to its usefulness when doing some handheld shots with it. It's got a nice amount of places to add more items on to it for versatility. Like lights, mics, etc.My pic has the cam cage with a G9 mounted in it. It's got room for the battery compartment to open, and I'd wager most cams like it can do the same. My only complaint, is that I can't fully open the lcd screen to the side. So I just end up flipping it around and reseating it in the middle instead of to the side, but... that's probably to be expected.So yeah, overall I'd recommend this for anyone needing a cam cage to help with shots, accessories, mics, lights, etc. Especially if you've got one of those cameras that there aren't a lot of (or no) camera cages made for.
