I read it in a week and I am a dad with newborn and a toddler. I am Greek and the translator spend some overtime but a fantastic book, easy to read and give a good view in military contractors missions and work and a different view of the politics behind the actions. Review: zero footprint - Great read Exactly the type of technical perspective to fill in the many blanks on private Contractors code of work and expectations they face I thought it had a lot more background info than necessary and often light on Stark impact but it did have engagements from many areas. I was very curious about interaction between teams and also the inevitable equations with mortality and work for hire. I give it a thumbs up as it did have some pretty spirited accounts that must have been insane

Brutally Eye-Opening
Significantly revealing of what modern warfare is like and how horribly savage the enemy is. Kudos to the incredible heroism and humanity of those that choose to fight against tyranny.

Gripping tale , should be required reading for anyone wanting to pursue this type of work
I liked the way the authors told put you in the thick of things. A little James Bond action also.

How Simon is still alive is just short of miraculous
I can understand the adrenaline rush that Simon and his friends went through since it had been part of their lives for so long but at some point they need to slow down or stop all together if they want a chance to live a more sedate life. The part in the book about their minimal involvement in the Benghazi fiasco at the ambassadors compound and the CIA annex was a surprise as their actions were never mentioned in the book or movie about that affair. Hope these gentlemen have finally learned to live a peaceful life.

A quick read.
A quick read and insight into how things work in a world where the bad guys often have the advantage and freedom is not free without those who have to take on the messy work of settings things right. Thanks.

Great, honest read
Very well told and written book. For Americans, there is some real honesty here that we don't normally get from other media specifically regarding certain events that you may be interested in. I appreciate the honest rendition.

There's quite a lot of detail in here and clearly the guy has been on the ground, whatever his name is. There also seems to be quite a bit of potentially sensitive info given on back door arms deals to arm rebels and how this murky world works. The negative reviews are interesting when looked at in that context...

Always makes you think how things get done in the most dangerous places in the world. Plus type of ex forces do this kind of work. This guy is a true professional trying to keep order in the chaotic world of private military contractor. Definitely worth a read.

Not sure why I bought this book I suppose it was on a bit of a whim as I was bored at the time. I should have known better having spent half my life in the British armed forces. What a waste of cash. I suspect the author has read a few books in his time and has told more porkies than Walter Mitty. I failed to get past the first half a dozen pages before I gave it to a charity shop. I suspect there is not one word of truth in this book and I very much doubt the author has ever served in BRIT MIL as he puts it. complete dribble.
