Fold Formed Copper Necklace with Bamboo Coral

Description

This 20 inch copper and Bamboo Coral necklace was made using a technique called fold forming. The pendant was hand forged using a sheet of copper. The copper folded, and then repeatedly hammered and heated until it forms the pod like shape. It measures just under 2.5 inches. After forming the copper, it was given a rustic look using a patina. Inside the copper I attached Bamboo Coral using copper wire. The same beads were used at the top and bottom of the pendant. The pendant hangs from antiqued copper plated chain and closes with an antiqued copper plated lobster clasp.
