Does it work on macOS?

I bought this mouse to use with my Mac on the basis of this answer and I feel that the manufacturer's answer is misleading. So, let me give a straightforward answer: ***DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE TO USE WITH AN M1 MAC**** The Steel Series GG software, which you need to program the $100 + mouse DOES NOT WORK with the M1 macs, so yes, it "works" on a Mac the same way that any $5 USB mouse from the dollar store will. Plug it in and you get two buttons and a wheel. If you actually want to program it, you'll need to find a 3rd party solution like USB Overdive which will give you some of the functionality you'd expect from an MMO mouse.

Is the DPI button raised up or indented into the mouse body?

Great questions - it's neither raised up or indented in, but rather sits flush to your finger position on the mouse buttons.
