Practical, Simple, Informative
Like: Spiral cover, recipe photos, easy to moderately difficult recipes, mostly practical ingredients, intro includes some good basic information. There are several recipes I am anxious to try and some that I am going to step out of my comfort zone and try.Dislike: No dislikes to report.

Great pictures, easy to follow recipes
I loved that this cookbook had many color pictures. The recipes were clear and easy to follow. Some had exotic ingredients, but most of the ingredients were things I had already had or that were easy to find. I also like that it had a spiral ring rather than a traditional binding. It makes the book lie flat on the counter and it stays open to the page that you want. It also had lots of vegetarian and seafood dishes. I recommend it.

"Budget" is subjective
I've had this for a couple days now. I've not made any recipes yet. My biggest complaint is the word "Budget" in the title. Page 18 the author states "Each week I spent roughly $200 to $300, depending on which ingredients were on sale and which items I already had on hand". The book description says "for as little as $50 a week." I feel like I've been baited and switched. If you are looking for a true budget cookbook, keep looking. I didn't expect to feed my family of 4 for only $50, but I did expect to save something. I currently spend $300 a week depending on sales and we already eat mediteranean diet. So this isn't a budget plan for me.That said, I'm keeping the book. Some recipes look good and I will try them, but others are full of ingredients that I will never make and family wouldn't eat (kale and navy bean soup - no thank you). But I'm still looking for a budget cookbook.

Perfectly laid out with meal plans, shopping list for each week and easy yummy recipes.

Skip the book and use the internet
I didn't like this book. The recipes weren't interesting, and some were pretty finicky. There are many wonderful mediterranean, vegan, vegetarian and other sites all over the internet. I gave away this book because it really has nothing new, and doesn't add anything to the knowledge already available easily elsewhere.
