This device helped greatly with cable management which was a bonus since my wife was always getting on me in regards to cables. It is light and gives you the impression that it might not be that durable, but so far it has been. I am also able to use the usb ports to charge my phone, power adaptor and other mobile devices. Additionally, my friends and family are able to power up their devices using their cables only and not worry about using their adaptors for plugging into an electrical outlet. The spacing between it and some of your other plugs allow you to use your other outlets as along as you don't have more than two plugs that have the large power plugs so potentially you could have access to all ten outlets. I don't since I have four of the larger plugs. Nonetheless, I am glad I purchased it and for normal size plugs you would have full access to all outlets and usb ports available on the Smart Surge Protector Power Strip.

I love having enough outlets for a change. And its a bonus to have the usb ports. We live in ald farmhouse and never have enough outlets, so power strips are all over the place, and we have tried tons of them. My old one had 6 outlets and 2 usb ports and we were constantly switching plugs around. It was a huge pain. This power strip already saved my bacon when I plugged a cord into it and also one into an outlet when we already had too many devices for that outlet. Yup, switched the whole thing off. On the first day I had it. Love that. Only one thing I would have liked a more durable design, like metal or at least tougher plastic. Otherwise works great. ;)

These are perfect for all the outlets and USB ports that I needed behind my tv stand. Had two beta tanks and everything that was plugged in for the tv. A regular power strip wasn't enough. I purchased 2. One for each side of the stand. Used heavy velcro instead of screws to make sure they were perfectly straight. It's needed 4 USB ports and 10 outlets. I bought two so I could put one on each side to split the power. They are perfect to reach, being mounted. Cannot even see them mounted just below my dark glass shelf. I still have outlets to spare now so I can also add my surround sound when I get that purchased.

The power strip works well, the issue is with the USB outlets. Obviously the mounting of the USB outlets is not very sturdy, when I attempted to plug a USB cord into one of the jacks, the entire section of 4 USB ports dropped into the bottom of the strip and cannot be used.UPDATE: Seller contaced me about an update to the product and offered a free replacement to test the new version. I will be back with an evaluation of the revised version after I receive it.UPDATE 12/2018: Received the free replacement, the new version has a much sturdier USB mount inside the housing and is holding up well to repeated use. Seller is very interested in customer satisfaction.

This is a solidly-built and reasonably priced power strip with all of the modern functionality you'd expect: USB ports, surge protector, on/off switch, and two widely-spaced outlets that allow for the use of extra-large plugs without blocking adjacent outlets. The cord is apparently reinforced for durability, and does seem sturdy. Sure, this power strip isn't going to win any awards for design, but the silhouette also isn't as blocky and industrial as many of its competitors. The device works well, doesn't look terrible, and is reasonably priced. Not much more you can expect.

It's so hard to find a surge protector that's actually functional, but I love this one! It''s got more than a 3 foot cord and the plug receptacles are set up so that they are actually functional! The 4 USB ports are just a bonus as far as I'm concerned. It's so nice to be able to plug things in that have the odd, oblong shaped plugs (the tv and Roku for example) and my smart sockets and still have room for a few more things if I need it. Highly recommend these surge protectors!!

Does a very nice job and seems to have been designed by someone who knew how many things have to remain plugged-in for convenience's sake in a modern-day family, even if we're not using all of them at once (I'm pretty sure simultaneous use of all potential outlets wouldn't be quite safe.). For us, it's ideal! Now we can charge a few pieces of technology AND power our home fixtures. Couple spaces just right for transformers, as well, those wider-box plugs that take up more than one space on an ordinary power-strip. Here, there's a place for them. Plus, we have the added security of a surge-protector. I'm proud to have selected this very useful item.

It seems like a good power strip, I haven't had a chance to actually plug it in yet. However, I'm giving it 4 stars because it is what I was expecting, except for the color. I ordered black and received white instead. It stands out amongst all my other devices but is under the desk so it's not worth my time to send it back. Otherwise, I'm happy with what I got for the price, the USB ports will definitely come in handy.
