5 Dig Your Roots Stars!!!
Yes, I took the "title" for my review from a Florida Georgia Line song, but in this case Real Dirty by Meghan March is not only about Number One Country Star Boone Thrasher, who is so hot I needed a fire extinguisher to put out the flames he created and Ripley Fischer, a young woman who owns a local bar in Nashville called The Fish Bowl, it's also about reminding yourself who you are and what's important to you.Now I'm sure you're asking how is that even possible in one of the sexiest, dirtiest talking, swoon enducing books I've ever read? Well, Boone is a big, big star, but when the book opens and he's jilted not at the altar but before he even proposes, we begin the journey of him realizing this may have been the best thing that ever happened to him; all because of Ripley. She's not too keen on celebrities, and trust me when I tell you, she's had a lifetime worth of heartache because of them, and not for the reason you're thinking, but her vow to have nothing to do with them, goes out the window, thanks to a little or a lot of alcohol...."I want to hate him. Everything about him. He shouldn't make me want to climb him like a mountain to plant a flag at the top saying Ripley WAS HERE. No way. No how. There is a chemistry between these two, that no matter how hard they try, once they've taken that proverbial step, there's no going back. Especially after she gets a look at what's under those tight, muscle hugging t-shirts Boone likes to wear..."I'm too busy staring at his pecs and abs. Good God. Those can't be real."However, before we get to this first of many oh so sexy scenes, we get some of the best storytelling I've read. This shouldn't have surprised me at all, because Ms. March truly does create magic and her books allow me to escape my everyday life each and every time I pick one of them up. Anyway, Ripley hasn't had an easy life and while I'm not going to give away all the secrets that explain how and why she thinks like she does, suffice it to say, there's a reason she's in Nashville, a reason she's working so hard to keep The Fish Bowl open and a reason she's the strong and independent woman she is...."digging her roots."Enter Boone into the mix, who as I'm sure you can imagine has lived the life all aspiring singers want to live, but at what cost? Who and/or what has been left behind? Can he take what he thinks is the most crushing moment of his life and turn it into the biggest life lesson he's ever had and come back to what are his roots? As this story moves through the days and weeks, our H/h find themselves getting closer and closer, having some of the most heat inducing, fan myself, having to put my kindle down, sex and let me tell you, Boone has been blessed in so many ways other than his voice..."It's not fair for a man to be gorgeous, rich, talented, ....., is it" I ask no one in particular."I swear when I read that line I actually laughed out loud. It's almost like Esteban, her African Grey Parrot that's basically the mascot of The Fish Bowl is in the room because he just tells it like it is! I digress yet again...I fell in love with Boone and Ripley, not for all the reasons that we should but because underneath these two and the persona they present to the outside world are two down to earth, beautiful on the inside and outside, caring and giving people. When Boone starts to think of his forever, Ripley is at the forefront of those thoughts....."The first time I got my hands on Ripley, I knew this was something else. Having her in my house, fitting into my life so easily drives it home.....she slides into all the other scenes I've pictured having in my life like she was always meant to be there. It should scare the ever-living hell out of me, but it doesn't."And for Ripley, this man she swore she didn't like and wouldn't give the time of day to, is so much more than what she originally thought. But can she trust her heart to take that leap and be in his life with all the pressures that come with being a Number One Country Artist? As you might expect, there's so much more to their story than I've highlighted here and what a doozy of an ending we get to this book. I mean I literally sat there with my mouth hanging open! Why I expected anything less, I'm not sure. I mean this is Book One of the Real Dirty Duet, so you know we're going to get so much more of the March Magic in Real Sexy right? This is another must read book from Ms. March and I'll be silently stalking my kindle for the next two weeks waiting for Real Sexy to appear, because I mean, what the ever-loving heck was that ending about?

Real Dirty was an intense, steamy and surprisingly emotional ride!
Hello my name is Michelle and I’m addicted to Meghan March’s books...Real Dirty is the first in the Real Dirty Duet (book two, Real Sexy releases May 23rd) and features the story of Boone Thrasher. If you’ve followed these interconnecting Dirty series, then you’ve met Boone before, if not – don’t worry. You can read this a complete standalone.Because I went into this having known Boone for a few books, I wasn’t quite sure what to expect. I honestly paid him little attention before and the Boone in my head was 100% different than the Boone I met. Part of me wants to go back to the first mention to see how I ever pictured him as anything other than HAF. But I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered that Boone was a walking, talking HOT-AS-SIN alpha male. Now the blurb tells you enough about this story, you can guess if that there is a little twist that comes early in the book. I mean, the Boone we knew was taken. But not this Boone – fresh off a major brush-off, Boone is balancing his newfound singlehood, the devastation of the breakup and trying to handle his handlers that are trying to manage all the PR angles. But Boone isn’t the sort of guy that likes to be told what to do. I think one of the things I loved most about Boone was that he wasn’t just rough around the edges, he was so sharp you bled. But beneath that tough exterior was still a southern gentleman. It just took a bit to work those bits past his hard shell.I’m gonna let you meet our heroine and not go into too much detail on her. She’s an utter surprise and I loved her to pieces. Feisty, strong and vulnerable – an intoxicating mix. Her story really turned this whole book from a hot-romantic romp into a deeper emotional read. These two had great chemistry and really played off each other well.As for the heat of this book. Boone has a mouth on him. It was intense and steamy, and all the things we love about our romances. These two clashed and came together perfectly. And for those who, like me, are addicted to all things MM, then you know that there is also a bit of a twist mixed in. The slight hints at the backstory for our heroine were steady throughout the book. I loved that as the story progressed, my need to know ALL the things just grew. It was a great tease that hooked me, ensuring that I wasn’t going to be able to put it down until I had all the answers.Another stellar release from March. Each book she releases just keeps getting better and better. Real Dirty was an intense, steamy and surprisingly emotional ride! From page 1 to page 250, I was hooked. Boone Thrasher won over my heart and a few other parts ;)Now. Understand a few things. This is a duet. This means it is a story told over two books. So guess how book one is gonna end. But guess what – that adds to the excitement of book two, which releases just about twenty days later. So the wait is not going to kill you. I for one, can’t wait for book two. I loved the way the ending made me feel. I love that feeling of anticipating what is going to happen next.If you haven’t read a March book before, trust me – you can start here. But I recommend that you venture back into the prior books to meet the whole cast of characters.

Meghan March always sucks me in.
This review encompasses both Real Dirty and Real Sexy.I’ve been meaning to read this duet for a “Real” long time (lol, I make me chuckle) so I decided to finally just do it. And I started Real Dirty…and immediately read Real Sexy thereafter. In one day.The Real Dirty Duet was just fun to read. Boone is a country music star going through a very public breakup when he first meets Ripley, and they don’t exactly get along initially. So they have some sexy back and forth until Ripley’s life kind of implodes. But I love that she isn’t some damsel in distress even though Boone wants to be her white knight. Is the plot a little ridiculous? Perhaps. Is there a bit of an instalove feel? A smidge. Do I care? N.A.H.Meghan March always sucks me in. The combination of sexy and sweet, of action and surprise, and of vulnerability and strength. I definitely need to go back and find more of her backlog I’m missing.

Real good and dirty
I love Meghan March's writing style, once you start you never want to stop. I really loved this one, Boone and Ripley are amazing, the two of my favourites characters I've read in a long time. I cannot wait for the second part of this duet.I'm loving these duets, we meet Boone in the Real Duet, but you won't have to have read this.Boone Thrasher is the bad boy of country music and is a killer alpha to back it up, he is seriously swoony in an all male type of way. This was country with a difference and I totally devoured it, it wasn't sweet it was douche territory.Ripley, now she's something more than feisty with a touch of vulnerability and more importantly doesn't do celebrities, but Boone is in a league of his own and together they're just HOTT.Real Dirty had me hooked and it was thanks to Ms March, this book has intrigue, mystery and one hell of chemistry between two characters that you feel shouldn't work, they beyond sizzle and spark, part two is much anticipated.

Great Read
Boone Thrasher was everything I expected and so much more. He was deliciously dirty talking and alpha but it was offset by this sweet country boy that was utterly swoonworthy. Ripley may be one of me favourite female MC's that I have read for a file. She was sassy and had great banter but for me, I loved how she just had this inner strength to keep her afloat when life was just kicking her down at every turn. Together; this couple had amazing chemistry. I thought Real Dirty was a great page turner; the story really hooked me from the get go and I can't wait to read how this is all going to pan out. This was another great read from Meghan!

Persuasion Seduction Submission
Boone Thrasher is the Country music's bad boy. He has a single record racing up the chart, is rich with more money than he can spend and a girlfriend that he plans to marry. But when she fails to turn up for his proposal he decides to lock up his heart. Ripley is a mouthy local bartender who takes no nonsense from her customers. And Boone brings out the worse in her, especially as he is a singer and she has a strict rule of not dating Country singers. What changes? I have read this book twice and recommend it as an excellent read. This story finishes on a cliff-hanger, so I know I will have to get book two.

Amazingly clean!
Wow! Meghan certainly knows how to write hot alpha males and feisty women! Real Dirty introduces us to Boone Thrasher, a hot country star who finds out the girl he was going to propose to has married someone else. Walking away from the chaos he meets Ripley Fischer, bar manager and in doing so finds something better! The chemistry between the two is so hot it's scorching! Addictive and so much more than 5 stars!
