Macs for Seniors for Dummies Paperback – January 1, 2012

The writer of this helpful book must have elderly family of his own. He has constructed this book with a kind understanding of how the elderly can be challenged with todays technical developments. As the Australians are fond of saying "Good On You sport".

As with all of the "For Dummies" books I have purchased over the years, this one is very helpful in trying to master a subject. Simple easy to follow instruction. I would recommend this to someone who is having a problem adjusting to a Mac after working with Windows for years.

I was disappointed in Macs for Seniors for Dummies because it wasn't basic enough. There was too much knowledge assumed. I need screenshots. I wasn't able to maneuver the simplest thing, like how to move a file from one part of the Mac to another! I need information about exactly which windows to open and where I might find that window.

Quality of the book is excellent. Content is informative and a must-have. Why go to a bookstore and pay more?

If you have problems understanding mac computers, this is the book for you!!

I'm not even half way through and I've learned several things. Great book for Tips of items I never knew anything about. I just got a Mac and need to learn everything that is different from my Dell. This is a wonderful book for anyone that's been trying to learn from their children -HA!

It is easy to understand for someone who knows very little about computers. I bought this book for my husband and he seems to be enjoying it and learning along the way

This book did not address how to maneuver through my Mac. I'm guessing it was written for a differentMac laptop. I also don't think that it should have been called Mac For Seniors. I didn't see any evidence of it being geared for that population.

Easy to follow,in this it breaks it into understandable terms , ie saw one explanation in other book i thought they were talking gibberish this book able to do exact same with ease

Disappointed in lack of detail. I was expecting MAC for Dummies simplified and expanded in this version. I have the original and was hoping that the Seniors version would be more helpful for "new" seniors who are not all that familiar with MAC.

I brought this to help a 90+ year old relative cope with the migration from Windows PC to Mac. What has been noticeable is how few calls for help there have been since the migration. In part this may be because the Mac is an easier machine to work with, but the book must take some credit.

I really liked this book, not only was it very helpful but the larger print was a welcome sight. I have shown it to a couple of people, and they both ended up buying it, simply because of the simple language and the ability to explain things without all the technical mumbo-jumbo. It was wrote for the everyday person to understand.

I am happy reading this book, but it is some years old in the operating system it refers to. The leopard operating system is some years old. Todays operating system is Yosimite. This book should be referring to Yosimite and not Leopard.
