For the most part, it stays on the skin, but it can irritate the skin when you pull it off. You just have to be gentle. But, it’s the perfect size for what I need it for.

This is the best adhesive bandage I have been able to find. I got a second degree burn on my leg that was much too large for any band-aid. I needed to adhere non-stick pads to my thigh so the burn could stay protected. I tried cloth tape, athletic tape, and pre-wrap and athletic tape, all of which peeled off or scrunched up. I purchased this product at the recommendation of my doctor and was blown away by how well it adheres without sacrificing comfort. I would wear the film with non-stick pads underneath for up to 24 hours consecutively. Through showering, vigorous rock climbing, sleeping, and even wearing pants, the Tegaderm did not peel or fall off once, nor was it ever uncomfortable. The price may seem high, but it's absolutely worth it. When I put on the film I knew I could count on one piece lasting me more than 24 hours, if necessary. I never had to reapply and I could continue moving about normally without worrying about whether my bandaging would stay. This product made my recovery much less of a hassle. After wearing it for two weeks consecutively I did get a very slight rash around the sticky edge, likely just from dry skin and irritation. It was very mild and didn't bother me. Application is easy. All you do is peel the big sheet off the sticky side and press it on. Then you peel the separate edge paper off the top, making sure that the edge is completely sealed against your skin. After that you can peel off the bigger center paper. It really feels like a second skin and I highly recommend it for anyone with a large wound or a wound in a tough-to-cover area.

Fantastic for burns and scrapes. I bought this when a family member got road rash from a bicycle crash. Then I used it for myself when I got a small second degree burn while cooking. You can put a little bit of neosporin on your wound if you want, then cover everything up with some tegaderm. Gauze is not needed. And you can cut this to whatever size and shape you want. You've probably seen this stuff before. It's often used to hold IV lines in place in the hospital. But it is also great for covering wounds and allowing those wounds to hold in their own moisture as they heal. For me, I got a one-square-inch second degree burn (no blister, but raw and raspberry red) on top of my foot when some boiling water splashed on me. With the tegaderm, I have the confidence that my burn is maintaining moisture and healing. Since the tegaderm is clear, I can see that there's no infection developing. And since it's thin and flexible, I'm able to cover everything with a sock. I can even wear a shoe with it, but a 3-mile walk caused the tegaderm to slip out of place, so I had to reapply a new piece of it. Removal is easy. You know how band-aids really get stuck and can hurt like heck to pull off? That's not a problem here. It peels off very easily with no pain, at least in my case. YMMV. But the point is that this comes off *way* easier than a band-aid. Buy this stuff. You won't regret it.

I. Love. These. I'm about to buy my third box. I recently had hip surgery, leaving me with a six-inch incision closed with surgical glue. I was sent home from the surgical center with some gauze, surgical tape, and two small Tegaderm bandages. Surgical tape will make my skin raw and itchy within a few hours, so I tried the Tegaderm. I've been using the bandages for two weeks now with only a few hours each week leaving the incision uncovered. I do have some very mild irritation but no itching or discomfort, but nothing close to the rash and scabs/sores I'd have with the surgical tape. The bandage adheres beautifully and lets me shower and do aquatherapy without worrying about the incision becoming wet or exposed to a nonsterile environment. There's also no bulk to the bandage so I don't feel the edges around the Teflon pad when I move the way I would with tape or a different brand of bandage. Note that unlike many adhesive products, you can't restick/reposition the bandage after its been placed. Once it's stuck it has to stay until you're ready to remove it because after you peel it up, the adhesive loses its power. The first time I put one on, I misjudged the positioning and had to throw it and the Teflon pad underneath away, which was annoying because these aren't cheap. But the second try worked fine and I've had no problems since.

Only left off a star cause they did not come in the original box so I would guess they have a larger box that they are selling in sets to make a profit. They still are closed and sterile so I don’t really care but this was not shared in the description so it’s a little sketch.

So I had the NASTIEST Mountain Bike accident last year. I went over the handlebars at 25mph as a coyote ran out in front of me, and hit the (rocky) asphalt, having moved my shoulder forward so that it took all of the hit and none of it went to my head. I'm 185lbs, at 25mph thats a LOT of force on my shoulder. My elblow, it went clear to the bone (it was stickling through my skin). I tore almost all the muscle, ligaments, tendons and destroyed most of the cartilege in my shoulder. ON top of that I had the nastiest road rash I've ever had and it was HUGE and DEEP. I thought for certain I'd be that "damaged guy" at my pool parties in the summer. I told you it was NASTY. But here's why it's important to explain it like that as a foundation... I bought the Tegaderm and used it on my shoulder with some Neosporin, and weeks later the road rash was completely healed and I had ABSOLUTELY ZERO scarring. NOT ONE bit of skin on my shoulder is scarred. I couldn't freaking believe it. I mean, I've had road rash which was MUCH less than I had with this accident and I have scars from them. So when I was done using the Tegaderm, it blew my mind. I have some left in-case I have another coyote incident, and I now recommend this stuff to EVERY SINGLE PERSON I come across. I LOVE THIS STUFF! ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! I will post photos in a week or so.

Great for protecting my tattoos! After a lot of research I decided to change the bandage my tattoo artist had put on my new tattoo. I did this after 2 days, and then kept the Tegaderm on for another 5 days. It protected the tattoo from being accidentally scratched, and kept out dust and dirt. I removed it by carefully applying hot water and peeling it off from the top corner parallel. My tattoo hardly had any flaking and while it did transfer the top layer of the tattoo to the tegaderm (which is normal), none of the actual pigment was removed and my tattoo looks beautiful and bright. You will need assistance putting it on if you have your tattoo on your arms/back etc. The tegaderm needs to lay flat or you risk aribubbles.
