Moen Lounge Collection Brushed Nickel 24-Inch Double Towel Bar, Wall Mounted Towel Rack for Bathroom with Two Rods, DN7722BN

Sticks out more than you expect
Installed pretty easily, though it doesn't have the same tapered dovetail lock as the one I had from a different seller that really ensured a snug fit and solid alignment. This one uses a pyramid shaped hole for the retaining set screw to serve that purpose which works ok but not quite as snug or adjustable. It sticks out super far from the wall, so I'm gonna have to swap it out for a single bar one. I had a different double bar at an old house that didn't stick out nearly this much. The wall anchors it comes with are legit, just like something that holds a wet towel and gets grabbed like a hand rail should have. Very impressed with them.

Wonderful to have the extra bar, beautiful shine, but with a quiet little rattle sound
The Lounge wasn't my first choice for towel bars in my new home. I didn't want those little balls on the ends. However, the chrome-plating on the zinc escutcheons is lovely. The bars themselves are a bit lightweight, but look beautiful. Mounting was straightforward (I was careful to use a long level and measure carefully). The set screws require a lot of travel to hold the escutcheon firmly and there is not enough space to rotate that little allen wrench all the way around so be prepared to be patient and spend a minute or so working on each end. Also, with a single towel bar, I think the slotted mounts would allow the installer to adjust the spacing of the escutcheons to hold the bar firmly. However, with double towel bars, one bar fits firmly while the other always has a tiny bit of play in it. That little bit of wiggle room does not hamper its performance at all. However, it made a quiet sound each time I removed a towel that cried out "cheap hardware!". Therefore, I took the towel bars apart again and wiped the ends of the bars with isopropyl alcohol. Then I grabbed a tube of clear silicone caulk I had lying around and put a small dollop in each escutcheon, letting it dry a couple minutes to create a skin before re-inserting the bar. This seems to have eliminated that offensive sound. I didn't use enough silicone to hold the bar permanently -- just enough to help the bar resist rotation and prevent it from rattling in the escutcheon. Why did I buy Moen Lounge if I don't like those little shiny balls on the ends? I decided I needed two, 30" long, double towel bars to hold my bath towels without folding and still have space for a towel to dry the shiny chrome hardware in my shower and a mat to place (temporarily) near the door. The architect provided the space on the wall, but 30" double towel bars are hard to find in chrome! There are only a couple offered by small manufacturers. I didn't want to risk my project timeline (and my overall satisfaction) on a brand that I had never used before. I almost gave up and agreed to 24 inches! Then I discovered that Moen has a "bar only" product used for their Mason line of towel bars that is compatible with several other styles -- including the Lounge. I needed round escutcheons to match my sink faucet (it is a Kohler style that was discontinued in chrome before my towel bars were ordered :-[ ). That narrowed my selection still further. I think I had 3 choices -- 2 with 5/8" bars and 1 with 3/4" bars. Based on the images online, I could tell that Lounge was the best match for my faucets.I am glad I chose the Moen Lounge series because the chrome has a deep, specular lustre that is truly beautiful. A lot of new homes use boring satin nickel now, but I find it sooo satisfying to buff my polished chrome hardware lightly and get rewarded with that phenomenal shine. It is just so satisfying to gaze at the sparkly hardware in my new bathroom! That is why I need the extra bar. It is too hold an extra small washcloth or hand towel that I can use to wipe the chrome whenever I need to lift my mood.

Works
I’m still a little nervous pulling the towels off the rack, but it seems to be holding well. Looks nice. Towels stay separated. Easy to move the dry towel to the back and put the wet one in the front.

Beautiful and functional!
Love this towel holder! A little tricky to install but worth it since it looks so nice in the bathroom. We have a matching set of this collection and it’s much nicer and sturdier than what we were using before.

Super quality product. Don’t hesitate to buy.
Excellent product!! It’s sturdy and the finish is excellent. The instructions were very clear and the hardware was top notch. I was very impressed with the template provided. Every company that sells wall-mounted products should take note and include such templates!!You can always trust Moen!!

Moen is the way to go
We had plane silver single towel bar in our brand-newly built condo and after a few months it kept falling apart. We finally decided to start replacing the fixtures and decided to go with this one and we are 110% pleased we did. After buying this we wounded up buying the whole Lounge set for the bathroom and the guest bathroom. If you want something that is going to last and know it won't fall or break go with a Moen product. Little hint go to their site find the models you like and find it on amazon because you find it about 75% less here then home good stores like we did. Coasted us under $70 to do master and guest bathroom in full set of the Lounge set.

Looks good but is actually quite cheap feeling
This product looks really good but I feel the construction is quite cheap. I expected something sturdier especially since it's a Moen product. The rods spin freely and are hollow and thin. I secured it to the end pieces using clear silicone so they don't spin anymore but still an overall disappointment. I wouldn't buy again. I think this is ok for a rental or maybe if you're redoing your bathroom for resale purposes only but for personal everyday use, I wouldn't recommend it.

Good quality
Very nice looking quality and functionality. Would definitely recommend. I've had less expensive before and really for the extra $10, totally worth it.

Happy
Much prefer this double bar to the two single bars that the previous owner of my house had used. It is sturdy, looks good and fits 4 towels. great for the kids' bathroom!
