This is a good quality tin opener and Hamilton Beach is a great brand that's very reliable.
This is a very nice tin opener! It's of good quality and it looks very expensive and sleek and shiny and looks very impressive on my kitchen counter. It operates well very smoothly and I think it's very well built. Hamilton Beach is a good brand. My previous tin opener was a Hamilton Beach and it lasted for ages! It's got a good grip, so it's easy to hold on to if you need to, or to pick it up and move it. It's very portable. It opens tins easily. It's sharp, but it's also safe to use. And it doesn't leave any metal shavings anywhere, it's very clean. It's also easy to take off the removable part to run it under the faucet to keep it clean, and you can put it in the dishwasher (the part that removes). This is really a nice tin opener!

Great Purchase!
This works great and makes it possible for me to open cans instead of needing my husband to do it. With arthritis it just became too difficult for me to open cans without hurting so I ordered this and I'm glad I did.

Opens Cans Like a Champ—No Wrestling Required!
A few years ago, I moved and somehow lost my old electric can opener. Did it run away? Get sucked into another dimension? Who knows. But after way too many frustrating battles with a manual can opener (seriously, why do they always seem to slip right when you’re about to win?), I finally decided enough was enough.Enter this little beauty. It opens cans effortlessly, spares my wrists, and even sharpens knives when needed. It’s reasonably priced, does its job just as well as those fancy stainless steel models (which, let’s be honest, just cost more to look pretty on your counter), and saves me from cursing at a stubborn lid while my dinner threatens to burn.If you have better things to do with your time than engage in a can-opening wrestling match, this is the can opener for you.

It Went Right Back into the Box for Return
I never learn. Spending more time in UPS returning stuff from Amazon than in the bathroom these days and for me, that's yeah, a lot.I'm truly almost in tears over this purchase because literally everything has become cheaper and more expensive. I refuse to buy crap. I had been reviewing electric can openers. They're a great invention, time-saving, easy to use. I'm a clean freak so I wipe the mechanism clean after every use. We've had a Hamilton Beach for perhaps 20+ years...or more. Well made, heavy-duty, very hard plastic casing, all steel opening components. Nice strong magnet to remove lid from cans. Lately, though, it's been looking shabby and the opening parts were rusty and kind of cruddy. I tried cleaning them with steel wool, gritty cleanser, etc., but no dice. Nothing worked. I kissed it goodbye and put it in the donate box. Then the search began. I didn't like the most popular one as it did not have a magnet in the opening mechanism. This I do NOT understand. I did not want a Kitchen Mama. If it had a battery option, maybe, plus I saw many reviews that said it was made very cheaply out of the thinnest plastic. No thanks.I was so tired and done with looking for a freaking can opener. Apparently, people must not use them anymore. Maybe Siri opens it for them? I Googled "Can opener with a magnet." A HB came up. Red! I loved the way it looked and it was cheaper than the #1 can opener which didn't have the magnet.Out of exhaustion and desperation, I clicked on it. Two days later, it was here. The box felt like it was full of cotton. Uh oh. So lightweight. I pulled it out and the color was a great pop for the kitchen! But it's made of the cheapest, thinnest plastic you could imagine. Then I checked out the opener part. They could not have made this aluminum or tin thinner or cheaper. It's too bad I've lived a long life already. I've seen the best. If you're 35 or younger, you have no idea what quality is like. Unless you do. So you buy the junk and it is what it is. You're used to it. But I will search for quality items no matter what it takes and I will continue to return this junk when I get it. I wish everyone would. This thing will obviously last a very short time and you'd have to handle it like a precious flower.Back it goes today.
