Best price for beautiful and very functional queen wall bed and shelves
We love this wall bed that is not only functional and well made but is so beautiful in our guest room. Shipping was a bit delayed, but after it arrived my husband inventoried all of the pieces and then put together this bed and shelves for about three days (off and on) and it went together very well and is perfect for our guest room. Though the instructions say that parts of the construction of this day bed require three people, we are in our mid-60's and my husband was able to manage the construction of this bed and shelves with only occasional help from me. We bought a 10 inch deep mattress which, with a mattress pad, sheets and bedding fit perfectly into the frame and is easy to open and close. We love the style and convenience of this wall bed in our guest room and our family really enjoyed using it and the ease of folding it up during the day which gave them lots of space in the guest room when not sleeping. We would highly recommend this beautiful bed which is also the best price we saw in comparison to similar wall beds we looked at both on-line and at local furniture stores.

Time for a nap!
We were very nervous ordering this product because of the typical problems with pre-made particle board furniture as opposed to solid wood. I was made even more nervous when we got an ominous letter from the manufacturer, saying "these are commonly damaged in shipping and/or may be missing parts due to shipper mishandling. Be sure to make the delivery driver wait while you verify every piece is in good shape and accounted for" (I'm paraphrasing). Then to my dismay, the trucker came with 4 massive cartons all falling off the pallet, with ripped cardboard. I did get help from the driver to move them into my driveway thank God, since they are VERY heavy and large. You will want a second person with you to offload ive learned. So the driver was nice and waited while I opened each box to inspect and lo and behold, nothing inside seemed damaged in any way! Despite the outer carton damage, my first impression was that the manufacturer did an amazing job of adding extra packing, corner reenforcement, super thick cardboard and more to protect the product. The next step was to move the parts from the driveway into the garage, so that way I could inspect each piece and sort them better. Then came the day to assemble. With a project this big, organization is the key. While I gathered the first several boards needed, my wife sorted all the hardware items into individual dishes with the part number. Road block! We were missing a number of hardware items (screws, brackets, bolts, etc). Some of the parts were very specific to this product and not a "general" part one might have on the garage work bench. The problem is, we cut it too close to ask the manufacturer for replacement parts. It was a Saturday morning and our company was coming Wednesday, so we didn't think we could get parts in time from the source. That's our fault for not planning better I guess. I went off to the local Ace and managed to get most of what I needed and had to go to Home Depot to get some additional items. Needless to say, since these parts were similar but not the same, I would have to do some customizing. I'm a fairly handy guy and I have a lot of tools and hardware items on hand, so I'm not sure everyone would have been as resourceful. If you are not a very handy person, with plenty of tools and a good working knowledge of assembly- please, hire a handy man to do this for you! It's no reflection on the manufacturing, it's just a big and complex project for the average person I think. Anyway, from that point on things went pretty well, although there were some areas of the build that I wasn't quite satisfied with the design and I decided to add extra metal mending plates to reenforce certain areas until I was satisfied with how things lined up and that they would be durable over the long term. In all, is say I added about $30 of extra hardware beyond what would normally be required, just to be sure it was quite solid. At one or two spots during the build, my wife and I were both scratching our heads looking at diagrams in the instructons as they were a little unclear. This led to us making one mistake in the build, but was still functionally fine. I should also mention that, of all the boards we received, most had ID numbers printed on the raw edge of the board, or a sticker with its number, but not all. Some had no ID making it difficult to tell when to use it in the build, but we guesstimated and it came out right. You have to cut any baseboard you might have off the wall, so the bed kit can be mounted flush to the wall, so prepare for that. Also, they don't provide any hardware to anchor it to the wall. The directions tell you to "consult with an expert" about how to anchor the bed to the wall studs- presumably to avoid any law suits should it fall over on somebody. We used 10ea 1/4" x 4" lag bolts with fender washers to anchor the bed. It's not going anywhere that's for sure. The side bookshelf units were a snap to put together and we mounted them to the wall as well as to the sides of the bed cabinet (no hardware provided to do this). We topped it off with some overhead lighting which looks nice behind the crown moulding provided. All in all, it's a good product. The parts lined up pretty well, holes were properly drilled, of the hardware they provided there were extras of each, the packaging was great, the milled corners on the cabinet style panels is fair and the crown moulding aligned pretty well using the pre-drilled holes. It took a while and we had to improvise quite a bit, but in the end it is a great working and good looking finished product. The folks in customer service were very apologetic about the missing hardware and offered me a minor cash back due to the issues, even though I informed them after it was too late for them to ship the missing hardware. They were very nice to deal with. Also note- the mattress is NOT included. They do state that in the description so be sure you are aware. We bought the one suggested by Amazon and are very happy with it. It's a 10" queen memory foam cooling mattress that comes rolled up in a box. Fits great and the door operates perfectly with the new bedding installed! Now I can go take a nap! I hope this helps someone.

Very pleased! It looks great! Exactly what I wanted. :-)
It was a large purchase online without physically looking at it. I'm very pleased. It was delivered by a semi truck. The product was in five huge heavy boxes attached to a extra large pallet. The delivery guy placed the boxes in my garage. The boxes are marked with which item. I began with the bookcase ends. I wanted to get a feel of how the directions were, etc. I opened the box in the garage and piece by piece brought them to my working area. The directions were perfect and each piece was marked. There was a part of the directions that I was not prepared for and that was when I assembled the beginning frame of the bed it had to be mounted to the wall and it needed to be flush so be prepared to remove your baseboard. I removed mine completely and stowed it away, in the event I will move and need to replace the baseboard. In the end...the quality is superb. I have not put a mattress on it, but I plan to put a 10" memory foam on it.

Love it
Love it. The assembly takes a while and is not for the non-handy type. Directions are spotty and not complete so if you can’t figure it out from pictures you may be in trouble. It is great looking and the bed is comfortable with the euro frame. Worth the money and time to assemble. Just what we needed. Would have been 5 stars but the directions cost it one.

straight forward and easy to follow
Everything arrived together in one shipment and ahead of schedule!!! Nothing was damaged and no parts were missing in any of the boxes!!!Assembly directions were, for the most part, straight forward and easy to follow. The directions should have included more helpful tips like "Open all boxes- Some parts for a particular step are in different boxes!!!" If a person takes their time and studies the diagrams for each step, they shouldn't have any issues.Quality construction and precise fitting components. Moving parts feel solid and sturdy. A nice furniture addition to our home. Final assembled product looks just like the on-line pictures, and my wife really loves her office/guest bedroom now. She sent multiple pictures of her "new office" to her relatives.

Product came in 5 large heavy boxes, had to get 2 strong friends to carry boxes to my 2nd floor .. individual parts/pieces inside boxes was not organized and not all were labeled, which makes assembly more challenging and time-consuming. Though it seemed to be packaged/shipped fairly well, upon closer insepction, one the boards was cracked, but we decided to use it anyway, instead of the hassle of waiting/trying to get a replacement part. Was going to attempt to assemble and install myself with help from friends but decided to hire a team from Angies List instead, (pd$250, and it took 3 guys.)
