Hypoallergenic Tencel 100-Percent Waterproof Mattress Protector, Full

This tencel product is very silky and feels nice under the sheet, but it is warm to hot on the hotter nights, and does change the way my latex mattress sleeps. I didn't sleep well the first night I had it on the bed, but have adjusted somewhat by sleeping under a sheet without a blanket. I think it will be good in winter.

I was skeptical about whether this mattress pad would be able to help reduce my bed's temperature because of the plastic coating. I was even more skeptical when I took it out of the bag and saw just how thin the tencel covering was; it doesn't have all the padding most mattress pads have. However! I love this pad - it really does help keep me cooler at night! I pair it with Tencel sheets, and have reduced my night sweats greatly. Better yet, when I do sweat a little, the Tencel really does wick it away from my body. I am surprised and impressed, and very glad I took the chance on this.

This is a very nice item. It fits the double mattress well and the sheets fit over it well. There has been no movement even when changing the sheets. It seems to be water resistant and looks nice

I agree with the great reviews: it's waterproof but the top is soft and fabric. The waterproof material is extremely thin and flexible and so it truly does not feel like sleeping on plastic. We have two that we alternate for my son's bed as his diaper frequently leaks pee at night and it never gets through to the mattress. (We started out with one and bought a second because it worked so well!) They have held up very well to a few months of frequent washing and drying. They also dry very easily.

I bought it to protect my brand new mattress. Initial impression wasnt that great. it felt like a typical mattress cover. I been using it for about a month now and I can start to feel its pontentials. I now sleep and wake up feeling fresher thus I do feel well rested. During Summer you may sweat and during Winter you may shiver, but this mattress can help to solve that thanks to all natural Tencel/lyocell fiber, its breathable feature really is a game changer. I'm very happy with this product.

The very first night I put this on the bed, I felt the difference. Combined with the Outlast blanket, this pad keeps me from overheating. As a bonus, it does not make that annoying plastic crinkle sound like all the other waterproof mattress pads I've had to use for my memory-foam mattress. It also fits much better and stays in place. I can't vouch for the water-proof ability (not had any cause to test this feature) but for keeping cool, this one wins. Glad I got it.

I have been disappointed by another expensive mattress protector that claimed to be tencel. It was warm and trapped heat. I later found out the top surface contained a blend of polyster. Perlux is 100% tencel top and there really is a huge difference. It feels cool to touch, doesn't trap heat, but quickly regulates to your body temperature as you sleep. Its not too hot or too cold. Its also very thin, it doesn't change the feel of the mattress.

Bought this to protect our new tempurpedic. Fits great! And even tested it with a little bit of a water spill beforehand and it didn't seem through onto our mattress. Just a couple days ago, our baby had an accident during a diaper change. She pooped on the Perlux. I checked right away if it got to our mattress and sure enough it didn't. Laundered the Perlux and had a little stain on it. But better than on our new mattress. Great Product!

I like that is very thin and I checked with drops of water, the water is absorbed by the top layer but doesn't go through. Don't know if you put weigh on it if it will go through though. It's really soft too but it doesn't weigh in the decision to buy it because people usually put sheets on top of a mattress cover. What I really dislike is that it makes crinkly sound even though there's no vinyl. Even my cat's paws make sound so I wouldn't recommend in a couple's bed, would be a romance deterrent for sure lol. That is the reason for the 3 stars.

I was worried that this product would be uncomfortable or loud under my sheets, but I don't notice it at all. It's not the same an uncomfortable plastic case that would protect your mattress 100%, but I find it to be a good compromise because it will protect from minor spills (i.e. drink spills or unexpected periods) and keeps my mattress clean from pet hair. If your priority is comfort, I'd buy this. If you're looking for complete protection from major spills, like pet urine or something like that, you should probably go with a more heavy duty cover. The top of the sheet is waterproof but the sides are just fabric, so if you had a large spill, it could definitely get through to the mattress that way.Edit, 1.5 years later: the plastic coating has started to flake away in some areas. It looks like if I were to spill something in these areas, it would go through to the mattress. I still use it but I may have to replace it sometime soon.

I've tried another protector that was plastic-y, not easy to put on, and ripped after a while, thus leaking.This one is great!!! Quiet, soft, and works!! My daughter wets her bed sometimes and this protects the mattress 100%. One morning there was a puddle on it and I checked underneath and it was dry. I bought more for our other beds!

It is very thin and silent so you don't feel like you are sleeping on a diaper. It has a loose fit on my mattress so it tends to slide a little but nothing that a fitted sheet can't fix.I was only a little disappointed that when I opened it there was a small blue mark on it. When you seek quality you don't expect to see such things. However I am very pleased with my purchase and since it's under the sheets you don't see it.

This is as good as it gets. Very satisfied with this product as is does a better job than a 150$ one that the store was trying to get me to buy. It is very quiet, soft and it does not feel like sleeping on a plastic bag.Great bang for the bucks!
