This is a hit with the kids while camping
This swing was a huge hit at camp. We literally had the kids lining up for a turn. While this is mainly meant to swing side to side with the use of the handles, the kids also found it easy to swing back and forth. The abrasive coating on the deck makes for great footing for the daredevils but makes it a little rough to sit on, none the less, the kids still did it with enthusiasm.Installation was pretty easy. The hardest part is tossing the lines over the tree limbs where you want them and to have enough to pull the working ends through the preformed bights (loops). After that all you have to do is thread the working ends of the rope through the handle and then through the board. If you're like me and aren't planning on using this in a permanent location you have some other difficulties. The biggest issue is how to undo the cordage from the tree limb without having to climb up the limb to undo the . We overcame this my tying a tag line on the end of the bight (loop) so that when we were ready to pack up, we pulled on the tag lines and the girth hitch undoes itself. This swing is great for its versatility and the different ways kids can play with it. The materials are good quality and should be able to provide years of fun.

This will not work on a swing set.
The swing would not work on my granddaughters swing set and they did not have a tree that would work either. It was a birthday gift and her father travels a lot. By the time he was able to figure out that it would not work it was too late for me to return the swing.

It’s a hit!
This made a really cool and unique addition to our ever growing little obstacle course of a yard lol! It’s not something you see at parks or friends’ houses etc, and that’s something that really seems to get kids extra excited lol. We live a few hours from the coast and the beach, but our kids love pretending they’re surfing going back and forth on it and the only issue is enforcing the taking of turns lol. So far it’s been durable and held up to them being rough as possible on it, we recommend for some long term fun!

Custom set up is often needed to install correctly
The swing IS well made and eye-catching. It comes with a longer rope than you will need, so it can be trimmed to size. However, finding the right place to install this swing is VERY tricky. The support it is attached to needs to be at least 8 feet off the ground, and then there has to be enough room in front/behind the swing to allow it to move. The ideal installation would be on a taller frame with an added conversion bracket. We have a very tall custom-made swing set I was able to install this but, as we can't use a conversion bracket on it, I had to remove every other item to make room for it to swing freely. Also installation wasn't as quick or easy as implied because the knots have to be tied just so to ensure the board was level.Ultimately all five kids (ages 4 to 9) liked the plastic standing swing with limited range of motion that came attached to their playhouse/swingset better than this one.

Will be a nice addition to get kids outside!
Pros:-fun!-sturdy and high weight limit (220 lbs)-has a durable, rough, sandpaper-like texture that will help keep kids' feet from slipping off (see image). I don't think anyone would dare sit on it because it might actually rip or tear the person's clothes if they "slide" to get off it.-older kids and adults will enjoy-great way to get kids out of the house and off video games-good core muscle workoutCons:-had no idea it needed to be hung a minimum of 8 feet off the ground...we planned to hang it from the kids' outgrown swing set structure but are trying to come up with a plan B now since it's only six feet off the ground. I suggest the seller make sure that's visible on the main page so customers see that before ordering. Luckily we have plenty of trees but just have to figure out which one has sturdy enough branches to support this thing-Chances are high that you'll be hanging this off a branch. It means ultimately there's some risk involved that the user might hit the tree's trunk. For that reason, I would not suggest this for any young kids.Overall, a great, fun thing for outdoors if you have a place to put it!

So Much Fun!
Best installed on a horizontal, or nearly horizontal, tree branch. The higher the branch the slower and more smooth the swing. I recommend hiring a professional to install. Try calling a local arborist or tree company and ask if they have a climber willing to install it.Ultimately, two basket-hitched slings spaced apart and connected to the swing via 22kN+ rated, aluminum carabiners will do the trick. The higher the surfer is from the ground the greater the risk of injury.

Outdoor Fun
This was simple to install only took a couple of minutes. Its made super tough and I tested this before allowing the kids to try. It was easily able to hold me at 225lbs. The handles are great and the rope is strong. The board itself is large so I wasn’t concerned of slipping off. I recommend this for great fun in the outdoors.
