I was expecting something much cheaper for the price, but the handle is smooth and finished, the hardware is nice and works well, and it came with plenty of sharp blades and a thick plastic cover. Could ask for more. Great for beginner baker.

My partner bakes bread on the regular and loves using this to score the bread dough before baking. She says its really easy to use and replace the razor blade. I think it's about 90% as good as an expensive name-brand version, for like 10% the price. Totally worth it!

Easy to switch blades and comfortable to use

Only came with one "blade" and it's a thin piece of aluminum? Not really a blade. I'm not sure where to get replacements.

The media could not be loaded.  Big safety concern for this item, possibly a lawsuit waiting to happen. During my first use of this lame the razor blade pushed through to the back of the lame and I nearly cut myself. The screw holes are much bigger than the screws and I realized they just spin endlessly onto the nut without having anything to tighten against. This fact, combined with the fact that the brass guard does not cover the slit on the backside, makes this design unsafe for use.

It's become my favorite.

The lame itself is very large, thick and awkward to maneuver but worst of all the blade does not secure well and either falls out or pops through the back of the lame. It only comes with one blade and the packaging is super cheap.

I started using the traditional lame that most everyone uses, and I thought I might like this beautifully shaped wooden handle. It does work, and blade replacement is simple. What im finding is that it is great for basic cuts, and if you venture further to get creative, I have found that the handle/blade are not as maneuverable. The handle does not let you be as creative in your strokes when slicing into the dough. The original simple lame works much better as you get more creative.
