KitchenAid Mezzaluna Knife with Stainless Steel Curved Blade with Ergonomic Handle, 6 Inch, Black

I absolutely love this knife. My two small dogs are on a special diet which includes lots of chicken. This knife has simplified the chopping of the chicken so much - I really wish I had thought of it years sooner. It really makes chopping meats, and carrots, simple. I am happy and the dogs are happy to be fed sooner! I can't vouch for how long this lasts though. I wash it bt hand and store it in the cover that came with it. Delighted to have found this!

This is fantastic for cutting up cooked chicken and meat into slices, cubed, etc for casseroles, stews, sandwiches, etc..

It is easy to hold inmates chopping vegetables quick and easy. It just isn’t sharp enough.

This is my 5th Kitchen Aid cutting implement over the last 15 years or so. It stacks up against my previous purchases. The blade holds its edge well. It really shines for dicing chives and chopping romaine lettuce. The rolling/rockling action is nice. It's also handy for cutting small pizzas and quesadillas without having to break out a pizza cutter, (wheel style) and far, far easier to clean than a pizza wheel.

This is a great mezzanine knife for chopping various types of fruits or vegetables if you need a small dice. I used it on cranberries and orange peels for a relish this thanksgiving but also worked well making a finer dice of veggies I chopped with a knife. I am not a chef and dicing with a knife is not my strong suit. This helps me chop things I’ve already attempted to chop. I find it very easy to use. It’s sharp and easy to hold. It’s also easy to use in a bowl or dish if you notice something a little too big in your mixing bowl. I recommend it.

We own several mezzlunas, and each one of them serves a different purpose... this one, I plan to use, to replace a double bladed one that we got a couple of years ago.This one is ergonomic, fairly lightweight, easy to sharpen, and easy to clean.The biggest gripe I have, is that the plastic handle feels a little cheaper than I've come to expect for something branded with KitchenAid... I'm worried about moisture getting trapped in the handle, since it appears to be a hollow plastic.I would have preferred to see a solid grip (textured plastic or wood), wrapped around a full tang of the handle.That said, it works just fine, and had made my life of chopping up veggies and salads easier.NOTE: as with anything, read the description, and understand the size of the product you're purchasing, beforehand. My wife actually thought this would be a larger one, like we commonly see a local pizza restaurants, and she was quite disappointed and shocked, when she realized it wasn't going to be large enough to meet the need she had for it.Still, that's on us, not on the product.. it's great, and it works as expected.

Not the sharpest right out of the package , but I did get it fairly sharp . I am looking forward to using it . It has a comfortable grip for myself - male with big hands . Nice blade cover .

I have another mezzaluna that's a double blade that I have had for years. Unfortunately, I don't use it very much (even though I have tons of use for it) because it's just so hard to use between the sizing, the ergonomics, etc. I wanted to give this a try and it's perfect for my needs.I don't do a lot of dough cutting but I do chop herbs and occasionally nuts which I find these are perfect for and a little easier than a knife. I love that this is a bit smaller and can easily fit into an overstuff kitchen tool drawer, along with the cover so I don't have to worry about it. It's easy to wash, fits in the hand well, and just generally does what I needed it to. It could be sharper but it's good enough for me and a lot more convenient than my other one.
