The Healing Sole is designed to treat heel pain such as plantar fasciitis and to promote superb foot health whether you are in pain are not. It is designed to stretch the foot and calf and to take pressure off key areas that caused heel pain. The features provide a unique sensation of both support and give. Raise toe lift-allows the great toe to extend slightly while walking to strengthen the arch and reduce stress on the plantar fascia. It also prevents you from clenching your toes when you walk which is a bigger reason we are told not to wear flip-flops. Raised arch- supports and stabilizes the arch to provide relief from pain and discomfort. Neoprene straps- provide a secure fit and are soft enough to allow or flexibility and comfort. Compressible heel-reduces pressure on the painful part of the heel yet supports the remainder of the foot. Rocker bottom sole- features a slight curve that reduces stress placed on the bones, joints, ligaments, and any arthritic area in the foot during walking especially the plantar fascia. For optimal results it's important that the flip flop fits properly. An incorrect fit can cause discomfort. You should have a space of up to a 1/2 inch on the front and back of the flip flop. The straps should be snug but not tight (don't force your foot in.) Dr. Warner recommends to her patients to ease into The Healing Sole flip flops by initially wearing them 1 hour on day one and 2 hours on day two. It is recommended 4-6 hours of wear in the evening, once the flip flops have been broken in.
