Perfect de-stressing music
I originally bought this CD in 2004. I lost my copy when moving to the US and absolutely HAD to buy another. The next 2 paragraphs are taken from my review on Amazon.co.uk. It is still all perfectly true."I first heard Einaudi's music on ClassicFM and was immediately hooked. After listening to the radio almost non-stop for 3 days to find out who this amazing composer was I immediately set out to get hold of his music for myself, and so I got "Echoes". What can I say? It's simply one of the most sublime CD's I've ever listened to. Yes, I can see where some people think the music can be a bit too 'pretty' or 'fluffy' at times but that is really not a problem for me. My favourite track on the CD is Track 13 "Odd Days" which I tend to play over and over again. The best thing for me though when I listen to this CD is that I can physically feel the weight being lifted from my shoulders, and it just takes me away from everything. "Echoes" is one of the best relaxers and de-stressers I have come across in a long while (music-wise at least). Even my husband who generally only likes music he can mosh to said that I could leave "Echoes" playing on the CD as it was "kind of nice"- high praise indeed."We listen to this CD a lot. I mean A LOT over the last 6 years. Both me and my husband have this CD on pretty much nonstop in our bedroom. It helps us relax. It helps us get to sleep. It helps us just put the day behind us :-)

Cannot fault this product just the packaging
The music is sublime, but Amazon didn't make it easy to enjoy it. First, they sent me the wrong item, then they mailed this CD via USPS which had problems delivering it (although I get regular deliveries just fine), then the package had broken plastic spokes (see photo). Fortunately, the very welcome CD plays just as it should and the music is (again) sublime. Recommend it for all ages as it is good for background studying music, or soothing a fussy baby, or enjoying on a coffee break. Enjoy--but maybe buy it locally if you can.

The Most Beautiful Piano Music
I was turned on to Ludovico Einaudi through my classical music station in New York City. He provides the most beautiful, haunting piano music I have ever heard. A favorite is "I Giorni" included in this cd. I love his music!

A treasure
I heard about Einaudi through bits of an interview with Angele Debeau, leader of La Pieta, and accompanying play of one or two tracks of his music. After reading the other glowing reviews of this CD, a sort of "best of" compilation, and seeing that he is widely recorded in Europe, I ordered the CD partly from curiosity, and indeed the raves are justified. I suppose he is on the minimalist side, but less dogmatically "bare bones" than others I could name; is very inviting to the listener without being manipulative; and is not as stingy with what I have to call 'melody' due to lack of technical vocabulary. It all sounds beautifully clear and uncluttered, with warmth and integrity. Perhaps his Italian heritage is responsible for his generosity. Some reviewers talk of playing this CD all the time, but I restrain myself because I don't want my ears to go on auto-pilot and make me miss something.

Enchanting!
When listening to “Ludo’s” compositions, I am transported to the world as it should be. I especially like the tracks in which Daniel Hope is featured. 💕

Soothing and Grounding
I heard a piece by this composer on our local classical station and bought this CD. The music exceeded my expectations as I expected it to be good, but it turns out that it is excellent. I listen to it while I am doing some of my creative work and it is a perfect pairing for that. I am looking forward to purchasing more of this music.

Absolutely beautiful...
Ludovici Einaudi is one of the most gifted composers active today. This collection contains many pieces of quiet beauty. I am tempted to describe his music as a cross between George Winston and Philip Glass, although that is perhaps not fair to all three composers, as they each have unique musical talent. However, I think the comparison works: Einaudi's music does possess the elements of repetition that is Glass's hallmark, but it also has stronger melodies than does Glass's music, hence my comparison to Winston. Most of the pieces on this collection are solo piano, although there are a couple with other accompanying instruments. My favorites are "Le Onde," "I giorni," and "Melodia Africana III." But there is not a disappointing track on the entire CD.New age music often gets a bum rap of being "elevator music" or syrupy pap. Einaudi is proof that new age music can be intellectually complex and emotionally satisfying. I predict his work will stand the test of time, and I recommend this album to anybody who enjoys solo piano.

a relaxing classical album
I first heard Einaudi on Public Radio and was struck by the piece that was played. I got home and looked him up on Tou Tube and began listening to his music. I kept going back over and over and playing it. I finally decided to purchase a album of his music. I purchased this one and is is very much what I wanted.

Excellent music.
Cannot get enough of this guy! Brilliant album, very relaxing, I am never bored by his music although it can appear repetitive, it isn't! Have acquired most his albums, have not watched TV since!

Unbelievably enthralling.
I just cannot believe how beautiful this is. Have only recently started listening to Classic FM, and this stopped me in my tracks. I bought several of his CDs all at once, and it was the best buys I've made in ages. You will be entranced from start to finish.

Another wonderful Einaudi CD
I was given this as a gift at Christmas by my brother. Last year, he bought me Nightbook, which I thought was awesome. This collection also delivers the goods. It's simply just wonderful and I love it!The minute I played this CD for the first time and I heard the first track , Le Onde, I knew that I was going to have another wonderful selection of Ludovico Einaudi's gorgeous music. It's the type of music you can sit and listen to many times and never tire of, so I wholeheartedly recommend it!

Good quality CD
Good quality CD, well packaged with very prompt delivery. I assume people buying this will be aware of the content prior to purchase and have pre-listened on-line etc. (I can't imagine many people buying a music CD before pre-listening and concluding they like what they hear). As you will appreciate, the purpose of these reviews is to give useful information to other potential buyers; this is not a platform to criticise or applaud others' tastes in music.

Pleasant Tunes but all similar
I bought this to use as pleasant background music while studying. I can't understand how some of the tunes have moved listeners to tears. Better listen to Mascagni for that especially the intermezzo of Cavelia Rusticana. This music is pleasant but easily forgotten.
