Classical Waves!
Ludovico Einaudi might be better known for his music when it's played at the BAFTA Television and Film Awards remembering those who passed away in the previous year. His music is light enough to allow dialogue but it's unforgettable and soothing those of us who mourns the losses. So this is my second compact disc by him and I'm not disappointed. I'm shocked that he's not more well known. This music would be ideal for Pilates and Yoga classes and I would highly recommend his music to be used in such places to allow comfort, peace, and a moment to reflect and de-stress from a stressful life. Anyway, his music is not for everybody. It's light but meaningful. It's ironic that I am writing about BAFTA here because it is what attraced me to Ludovico Einaudi's music in the first place. It has such a whimsical nature. His second track is worthy enough to relax you on the most stressed out days. His music has a calming and wonderful effect already. If you are looking for music to relax, regroup, and calm yourself, Ludovico Einaudi's piano tunes and performance is worth it.

Good album from one of the best contemporary solo piano composers
Ludovico Einaudi is, in my opinion, the best composer working today in the nebulous field of "neo-classical" or "new age" or "contemporary piano," whatever you want to call it. His music has a minimalist flair, reminiscent of Philip Glass (but more melodic than Glass) or Yann Tiersen. Out of deference to the cranky reviewer below, I won't compare Einaudi to John Reich, except to say that Einaudi's pieces have much greater melodic appeal to me than Reich's. ;-)Le Onde is a very good album, but not Einaudi's best. The strongest tracks are "Le Onde," "Questa Notte" and "Ombre." If you are new to Einaudi, I'd recommend that you start with the "Echoes" greatest hits collection instead, or "Divenire," his most recent release. If you are an established Einaudi fan, then you will probably want "Le Onde" simply to have a complete collection. One last comment: Einaudi has released most of the sheet music for his work, and it ranges in difficulty from fairly easy to quite advanced. I recommend highly "The best of Ludovico Einaudi: Piano solo" sheet music collection.

Shame on all these manufacturers
What is going on? In one week alone, I've had to return over 14 LP's back to Amazon. Extremely bad audio quality, not to mention the UN-evenness of the LP itself. Extremely bad LP pressing. People who usually purchase vinyl, usually have expensive audio equipment. Just because someone uses 180g vinyl does not mean it's of high quality. I guess they're just too many manufacturers, trying to jump on the LP vinyl bandwagon and trying to get their products out the door, way too quickly.Thank goodness a majority of them have true hi-fi audio, but with people with high-end stereo equipment, these cheap reproductions even on high quality plastic can be spotted a mile away. My cartridge on my turntable is over 1K, and that's considered cheap in today's world of hi-fi, shame on all these manufacturers trying to damage my equipment. The only way they're going to learn, is to send stuff back and let others be informed.

Wonderful New Age musician
I happened to hear a version of "Le Onde" through an Italian friend online. Sweet and haunting, it prompted me to order this album, which more exceeded expectations. This is the kind of gentle, new age piano music that has become common and, very often, uninteresting. Einaudi, though, is a delightful surprise in this category for anyone outside of Europe who hasn't heard of him.

Sometimes stirring, sometimes soothing, beautiful
I am new to Einaudi, just discovered him while watching a wonderful French film called The In-touchables, so decide to try this CD as well as In A Time Lapse. Great choice -- I listen to this in my car constantly on the way to work or after a long day. Worth every penny!

Needless to say, my favorite album.
An album like no other. You just have to spend one lonely afternoon or evening, put your headphones on and listen to it from the beginning to end in one sitting. It will draw a picture in your mind that will go with you.

Beautiful
I'm a complete novice on pianists and the wider genre of music but I was recommended this by my sister-in-law and, since I first heard it from start to finish, it's been in my collection.Absolutely beautiful. Listening to this I was able to relax, unwind and escape to a distant land that I've never experienced before among gentle notes.

Good to listen to whilst in the bath with candles ...
I purchased this having heard the Harp section on Classic FM and having read previous reviews. I found this music relaxing, thought provoking and uplifting if not a little bland in places. It is certainly worth purchasing and helps to restore the mind after a demanding day at work. Good to listen to whilst in the bath with candles and a glass of wine.

Superb
Deceptively simple to listen to, but the more you listen, the more you realise that this is a mature work. Less is more.Haunting tunes great to listen to or have in the background or an aid to meditation.Buy it, you won't be disappointed.
