It compresses!
A nice little compressor/sustainer pedal. Subtle, but very effective. Well built housing with simple controls.

Aklot compressor
On sale $15.99 Great deal, like other reviews say it's like a dyna comp, works well the switch seems sturdy. the only complaint is the tiny nobs for adjustment.

Works well
I don't know much about compressors, but this one seems pretty easy to dial in. Takes your guitar signal and makes it more polished, more unified, less frayed and transparent. Also does well as a volume boost. And you can't beat the price.

I'd pay more for a better unit.
I should have just bought a JHS 3 series. This thing is noisy and does not have the compression that you would expect.

label is upside down! but it's fine!
the printed the graphics from top to bottom..but then, it somehow got turned around and the level sustain and attack are printed near the footswitch...upside down. Hilarious! It got flipped around sometime during the building process. However..it works just fine. I can't believe how nice it works for everything. Bettter than my Behringer compresser which costs ten bucks more. very small pattern, comes with pads for the bottom you can choose to attach or use your own velcro. quiet, effective, very smooth.

small device, big power
Provides the boost I was looking for, without overwhelming the sound. Sturdy design, easy to control and very reasonably priced.

Excellent Compressor
This is a clone of the MXR Dyna Comp. It works fine, except for the attack control which seems to do nothing. BTW the MXR doesn't have an attack control, only sustain and level ๐ค UPDATE: So I've been experimenting with the controls and the attack does work. I just misunderstood what it was for. For $15, this pedal is a steal

Perhaps I just got a dud, but the Aklot Dyna Compressor I have does very little compression. Even with the knobs turned all the way up it does very little. When the Sustain was cranked it really didn't sustain the guitar any longer. I A/B'd this with my Donner compression and it was night and day comparison - the compression was noticeable on the Donner and manageable. Same with the compressor pedals I've used in the past, regardless of the type of compressor they were. Signal chain was direct from guitar to single pedal to amp. Used it on both clean and distorted channel. Some positives - even with all the knobs cranked there isn't any real noise or hiss, just the faintest whisper of noise. Turn it down to 3pm and when I'm not playing I can't tell if the pedal is on or off. This worked great as a volume boost (and it didn't introduce any noise), but not as a compressor. I'm thinking I got a dud. I'm not going to order another one though to validate that. I've had similar experiences with other manufacturer's inexpensive mini pedals - some of them just don't work.
