Genuine Mopar Thermostat Housing

Bought this for my 2014 Dodge Durango with the 3.6 V6 because it was taking too long to reach operating temperature. This fixed the issue was easy to install. Make sure you bleed the system and get all the air out after install so you don't have air pockets that could overhear your engine.

I’m highly satisfied with the Mopar genuine thermostat housing I purchased for my 2017 Jeep Wrangler it fit perfectly, was clearly built with quality materials, and immediately resolved the overheating issue I was experiencing. Installation was straightforward, and I feel confident knowing I’m using a durable OEM part designed specifically for my vehicle.

Oem replacement works perfectly. Had an engine code P0128 show up which indicates the thermostat didn't close when it was suppose to and the engine temp was too cool. Needle usually runs just left of center around 11:00. Coolant temp usually reads between 190 and 200F which is normal. Not sure what happened that one morning. Might have been a fluke. Didn't want to chance it so I just replaced it. Super easy job. Just need a flat blade screwdriver and a 10mm socket. This part fits any 3.6L pentastar engine, 2011 to 2015 I believe. Remove the decorative engine heat shield by just pulling it off by pulling straight up. It just pops off.Loosen the two hose clamps on the air intake one near the air box/filter and the other at the intake manifold. Remove and set aside. I used a small trash can (or bucket) to collect coolant because when you remove the thermostat it's going to leak about a quart or more. Loosen the hose clamp on the radiator hose going to the thermostat and wiggle it loose allowing the coolant to run into your bucket. Use the 10mm socket to remove the two bolts on the thermostat. This is where it really poured out. Don't let it get everywhere. Reassembly is just the reverse. Not sure the torque on the bolts. I just did them snug enough. It's just plastic so you don't want to get crazy. I added about a quarter of new coolant back in and bled the line with the little bleeder valve on top of the thermostat. Just run the engine and Loosen this little cap until it leaks out and you should be set. I did this a couple of times just to make sure all the air was out. Everything has been running great ever since and I haven't seen the code reappear in over a month. Recommend this product for sure.

Bought to replace my old thermostat. I always try to go with Mopar OEM parts. Glad I found this on Amazon. Better price compare to dealership prices.

This Worked Perfectly!!!!.No more fluctuating engine temperatures and forcing power save mode to kick on because fans or running constantly. DONT be like me and buy 2 or even 3 Cheaper $25 Autozone and Oreilys thermostats they WILL NOT work due to manufacturer defects and Dealers want 120.98 for the part alone. Easy Install on my 15” Grand Cherokee Summit 3.6

It’s been about a month since putting this on. All seems to be working well and it has not thrown the engine code it was. We had severe snow/ice storms the time I anm making the post and it seems to still be holding up. I gave 4 stars because I am questioning if this is an authentic Mopar part.

It's pricier but a better replacement than the cheap ones here and in other auto stores. The thermostat is the Achilles heel of the 3.6 so its better to go OEM

My '13 started totally overheating, and in checking the top hose temp, I suspected the thermostat or water pump. This is twice the price of off brands on here, but the one I replaced was a $35 Amazon thermostat. Burped the system and the temp needle has been dead center ever since, even in FL summer heat
