Multipet Deedle Dude Singing Shark Plush Dog Toy, 8-Inch, Blue,All Breed Sizes

Our border collie is loosing his sight, in fact, he's pretty much blind now. He always loved playing fetch, and it's been harder since he can no longer see where the toy goes. We initially got toys what make noise (bells, and even some talking toys), but they only make the noise when they move or hit something. That is ok, but we wanted something that made noise for a while longer after it landed, to help him locate it. This is almost perfect. It sings along for a bit, even after throwing it which helps a lot. There are still a lot of times where it shuts off before he finds it, but he generally is close enough to use his nose from that point. We were afraid that he wouldn't be able to engage in his favorite play-time activity, and are glad to find that he still can play, albeit at a bit shorter range. He has always been rough with his toys too. The eyes, nose, and any appendages usually seem to get removed the first day. He really seems to like his Deedle Dudes (yea, we got several...lol) and treats them pretty nicely. And he really seems to like them as well. Often, out of the blue, we will hear one of them start singing and realize that he has gone to find one and bring it to us to throw for him. It's been tough on him over the last couple months as his vision has been fading, and I've noticed several times when he appears depressed and sullen. However, when the Deedle Dude sings and we play some close-range fetch, his tail starts wagging and he seems much happier. Yea, the song is annoying (especially when you catch yourself singing it for no reason), but the amount of joy it brings seeing our ol' dog happily playing fetch, is well worth it. For the manufacturer: Thanks much for this, and if you ever put out an "extended singer" version (maybe double length or so), please make sure you get some publicity on it.

Thought I was purchasing just one of these singing sharks but the package contains THREE of these 8" dog toys for $9.55! BONUS! I do believe this is a packaging error, though, because the white stickie label on the plastic bag (in which the 3 sharks are nested) says: "X00180LHVN" in bolded caps, with "102444117" in much smaller font next to it. Best ever dog toy! Would buy more but not available anywhere except eBay where they are overpriced. My little Yorkie finally got the noise maker out and I have yet to place it in another toy. She could not break it and just loves it. Best ever truly.

My dog adores this toy. She has learned to make it sing and sets it off regularly. It's a catchy little tune and the volume is set at a good level, neither shrieking or whispering. The length is good and it's quite varied musically, so it doesn't provoke the tooth-gritting response that the constant squeak, squeak, squeak of the average dog toy does, at least to me. I'm not tempted to confiscate it just to shut it up. The toy is very well made and very resilient. Pepper is an aggressive chewer so I expect her toys to have a very brief life but this toy looks almost unused after several months of strenuous play. This is the second of this style and she will get a third, probably a different style but from the same company.

You know how someone gets a musical toy and you sit there and think of how you can destroy it or get rid of it....NOT this one. This little diddy that plays is so happy and catchy, short and fun. The first one got waterlogged, I think. The dog wasn't necessarily missing it...she has lots of toys. WE missed it-because of the catchy little deedle do diddy it plays. Love it. Too cute.

My dog loves multipet singing toys! I have to buy them in bulk so we always have something available for him. They are getting harder to find (sadly), so right now his favorite is the singing shark. He lays in the family room and makes it sing for hours. My dogs don't tug on it, but the doodle is a little rough with his toys, but this one has lasted (other than the battery dying and no way to get to it unless I force a hole in the side, which I'm not willing to do). It looks as pictured, same colors and size as described. I'll probably keep buying them.

The song is very cute, as is the shark itself. This is not a machine washable toy, so it can only be surfaced wiped. Our dog goes bananas over this, but she's very hard on soft toys and usually destroys them after a couple of rounds. The music box inside will break if bitten too hard, so close supervision is needed when your dog plays with it.

I am very pleased with this toy, or should I say my dog is ! It is seems quite tough and hard- wearing and my dog seems to love the singing! Although I haven't had it that long it appears to be tough enough for my GSD who often destroys his toys. I ordered the rabbit too as a spare as he likes the sounds they make. I would definitely recommend this toy.
