YETI Hopper M20 Soft Sided Backpack Cooler

Yeah, this thing is super expensive. It’s also incredibly well built. Mine will keep ice for 2 days or more in the car at 75 degrees. Fit’s behind the driver’s seat in both our compact SUV’s and is perfect road trip cooler. Sometimes if I’m just going for a day’s drive (6-8 hours) I don’t even bother with ice. Just toss the milk, meat, cold drinks etc in there, and it’s basically the same temp when you arrive at your destination. Going for a picnic - want a nice cool bottle of white? no problem. We just had a 30 hour power failure, tossed a couple bags of ice in there with the milk and put it out on the deck (in CA it’s about 60 degrees out) barely any melting, and our milk is still ice cold a day later. Spent a couple days hiking down to the the lake this summer in 90 degree + weather and drank cold beer all day. But yeah it’s pricey.

I had the original, top zipper,20 soft cooler. I got it to carry beer in my golf cart and it has performed flawlessly. Fast forward to fly fishing, and I wanted a backpack cooler to take into the woods. The Hopper M20 proves perfect for the task! My elder son is now the proud owner of my old Yeti and I've got cold beer for fishing.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars overall is because I think it would be helpful to have mesh pockets on the inside to hold the slim ice packs so they’re not just loose.

Very well made backpack. But tad heavy for my elderly mother when full
