The Roald Dahl Treasury Paperback

If you are just into Roald Dahl or have completed his 2-3 works, this might not be a suitable book for you yet. This is not a compilation of all the work of the genius writer. This book can be broadly classified to contain -1. Extracts from his famous works including fiction (like Matilda, Charlie and Chocolate Factory etc.), poetry (like Revolting Recipes, Revolting Rhymes etc.) and non-fiction (like Boy, My years etc.). Though you might have read this earlier, you might find it equally enjoyable to read it again when you see it in color illustrations on a very glossy page. Some of the illustrations have been added new by the original illustrators notably Quentin Blake.2. Four of Roald Dahl's works are completely included in this treasury viz. The Enormous Crocodile, Esio Trot, The Giraffe and The Pelly and Me (all illustrated by Quentin Blake) and The Minpins (illustrated by Patrick Benson). This is the real worth of this book. Cost of this four books (hardcover editions) itself would be higher than this treasury. Second, these books have color illustration on glossy paper unlike its individual editions.3. There are few articles which are not published before in any of the Roald Dahl's works. This is the bonus you get with this treasury.The bind of the book is very sturdy. It is quite a heavy volume due to thick glossy papers with full size 444 pages.Indeed a treasure for Roald's fans. An Absolutely Delightful Read.. Totally loved it! It has some beautiful illustrations that too in color and some great pieces of fiction written by Mr. Dahl.. Totally recommend it.

Excellent book printed on art paper and with illustrations of Roald Dahl's superb verse. This is one of my priceless collections.

Its a fat and heavy book so my little one - 7 year old found it heavy to hold and read.. She didn't like it much but the book is good for older kids..

Bought for a birthday present for a 6 y/o. Recipients parents loved it and said it was a great intro for him in the he world of Roald Dahl & they read a couple of pages every night at bed.It's too hard for the child to read but he enjoys listening to the stories.

Much of its content is “an extract”, like Matilda (an extract). Disappointing! Unless you are interested just in extracts. Good luck!

schönes Buch für Erwachsene und auch zum Vorlesen bei Kindern, auch zum Üben der Sprache eine gute Möglichkeit, schön gestaltet,sehr gut
