I always read bad reviews first to get a feel for whether it's the product or the user that's not working properly. In the case of the Levoit LV-H132 Air Purifier, it's the user by an overwhelming majority (with incorrect filter installation and/or neglecting to remove the filter from the plastic bag it comes in the most prevalent user error). I have a very small apartment and I smoke very large cigars. My place reeked of stale tobacco and I was at my wits end looking for a solution (quitting cigars was not an option). After much research and dozens of professional reviews, the Levoit LV-H132 Air Purifier was the single best solution. Price, size, efficiency, ease of use and the cost of replacement filters are all ideal for my needs. I plugged it in, set it on high and went to work. When I came home that night, the stale cigar smoke odor was dramatically rreduced and continued to diminish until, by the third morning, it was completely gone. I wrote the company to ask if a ceiling fan aided the units efficiency and was told that it does, indeed, do so and an open window increases efficiency further still. I cannot recommend this unit highly enough. It has absolutely transformed the smell of my apartment from that of a stanky bachelor pad into that of the residence of a distinguished gentleman. If only it could do the same for my appearance! This is the best air purifier for small to medium-small rooms you can buy in this price range. Period.

Works fine, quiet, clears the bathroom air. Not sure it truly eliminates odor in larger areas or I just get used to it.

I also really appreciate how quiet it is—on the lowest setting, it’s barely noticeable but on the highest it is a little loud. It works perfectly as a gentle white noise in the background but if you want to have complete silence keep it on the lowest setting. The filter is easy to replace, and the touch controls are simple to use. Overall, it’s reliable, quiet, and effective—definitely a must-have for anyone with a baby or just wanting cleaner air in their room.

This is a great air filter, I’ve had it a little over a month and it really freshens up our home. I had no idea how much dust was in the air until I checked the filter after just a month and it’s doing a great job! The highest fan setting is a little noisy, I think of it as a noise machine so it doesn’t bother me, but if it’s in a bedroom the lowest setting is very quiet and shouldn’t disturb anyone’s sleep. You can turn the light brightness down or totally off too. We like this so much we just bought another, it helps eliminate odors in the air, we have two dogs, and reduces the allergens that typically bother me in the springtime. It’s great, not tiny but it’s not huge either. I definitely recommend this one!

I’ve had this air purifier for years and it works great. The filter is easy to change and the only thing you have to do is take the little sponge out spray it off put it down and put it back in. This was a great buy and takes care of a lot of square footage. You’ll be happy with this purchase!

Die ist jetzt schon der zweite Levoit Luftreiniger. Einen haben wir im Schlafzimmer die ganze Nacht auf Stufe 1 Läufen. Wir sind eigentlich sehr empfindlich was nächtliche Geräusche angeht aber dieses Geräusch stört uns, weil es leise und gleichbleibend ist. Der andere steht in der Stube und läuft auch den ganzen Tag auf Stufe 1. Die Luft ist wesentlich besser geworden in der Stube riecht nicht mehr verraucht. Im Schlafzimmer riecht es als hätte man grade frisch gelüftet. Mal sehen wie länge der Filter hält. Ach ja, auf Stufe 2 ist er natürlich lauter und Stufe 3 noch lauter. Würde ich nur aktivieren wenn ich nicht im Zimmer bin. Also ein ganz klare Empfehlung diese Luftreiniger zu kaufen, zumal es auch vom Preis nicht zu viel kostet.

This item is perfect. I bought it to replace an older one that had gotten a bit noisy. This replacement works fine. It's very quiet and does a great job at purifilying the air in my condo.

Cela fait maintenant deux ans que je l'ai et que je l'utilise. Appareil efficace si on le laisse longtemps dans une grande pièce et peu de temps dans une petite. Je suis légèrement sujet aux allergie, cad que l'allergie me met sur les rotules seulements 1 ou 2 semaines (cumulé) par an et quand je ne vais pas bien en été je le lance. J'ai aussi eu l'occasion de l'utiliser lors d'un enfumage. Très performant cela dit j'ai du changer le filtre et lui faire prendre l'air quelque jours au garage pour supprimer l'odeur de fumer de la machine. Je recommanderai donc l'appareil pour des utilisations ponctueles, pour des personnes avec une allergie moyenne ou faible. En marche moyenne ou faible très peu bruyant sauf si vous êtes du genre à ne pas dormir au moindre bruit. Bonne expérience me concernant. Édition: cela doit maintenant bien faire 5 ans que je l'ai et il fonctionne toujours très bien. Le filtre reste propre longtemps également si utilisé dans une pièce relativement propre et à une fréquence faible.

Very easy to install the filter and start it up--works for months. 3 levels of intensity. Very quiet. Icon lights up when a new filter is needed. Highly recommended.

Dopo quasi tre anni di utilizzo e aver cambiato più volte i filtri vi racconto che questo è il rumore che accompagna le mie notti. Prodotto splendido, facile da usare, i filtri sono abbastanza economici e funziona davvero. Soffro di rinite allergica stagionale da quando ho 8 anni (30 anni dopo e vari apparecchi e cure credo ancora che la migliore cura per la rinite sia la qualità dell’aria). Per me questo prodotto è fantastico, lo sposto tra la cucina e la camera da letto, non lo trovò particolarmente rumoroso anzi quasi non mi addormento più se non sento il rassicurante rumorino delle sue ventole. Mi è caduto tre volte, ho cambiato credo 5 filtri finora ma funziona magnificamente. Unico neo… se avete appena cambiato il filtro fatelo andare per due o tre orette all’inizio in ambiente areato… ho notato che se i filtri sono nuovissimi l’aria sa un po’ di chimico all’inizio … poi invece rimuove odori, polveri e allergeni. Per me ha un rapporto qualità prezzo imbattibile
