Can you just have one colour on instead of multiple colours

Yes you can have one colour, I had mine on just light blue but there are no limits to how you set set it up to ANY colour. My problem was not the light or the stand it looked fantastic; but the power supply got very hot and it only lasted one month before it gave out and i sent it back to Amazon for a refund. When they supply low standard power supply with ANY tech product they all have the same problem THEY GET HOT? please avoid if you can.

Does the light operate without the stand? I am looking to put it on more of a L shape stand due to the right corner on my media wall.

Hi. The base comes with a cylindrical upstand of approx 8cm which houses the connecting socket for the LED light strip and the 4 part upright that holds the LED strip. If you are into DIY you can probably mount the upstand into/onto a metal or plastic plate of your choice. But in doing so you will need to ensure that the electrics are safe (low voltage) and of course you will destroy the circular base which would probably void any warranty. Good luck.
