Xerox Wireless Network Adapter (497K16750)

Moved my Xerox color laser printer to a new location outside of the reach of the ethernet cable. This wireless adapter allowed me to not run new cables. It plugged right in and saw both the Wi-Fi and the 5G Wi-Fi. I had to configure it through the printer panel, which is not particularly user-friendly but that isn't the fault of the device. It works great so far.

I just bought a new Xerox C400 color laser printer & wanted it to be wireless. Since this is a Xerox part, I thought it would be the easiest way to do it.It's tiny: only about 1 1/2" x 1". I removed a small plastic door on the back of the printer & snapped this into the USB slot behind the tiny door I removed –– a plastic clip also snaps into a hole to keep it snugly in place. Then I plugged in a USB cable just below to allow a hardlink, too. I turned on the printer & followed the automatic steps the printer led me through on the printer's control screen. It asked if I wanted to use just wifi or both, so I selected both. It then asked which wireless network was mine & asked my password. After I entered those things, it told me to restart the printer, which I did.Upon restart, I selected a document on my iPhone & told it to print. It asked me to choose the printer I had just set up, which I did, then told it to print. It printed instantly. I then opened a document on my desktop computer & instantly printed that through the USB connection. I then went 60 feet away & easily printed from another desktop computer & another iPhone using wifi!The printer came with all the software preinstalled, so I didn't need to use the CD disc that came with it.It couldn't have been easier! I definitely recommend this product!

We were given a Xerox B405 (free!) they went larger and are on a wired network. Purchased this device and it worked perfect with very easy setup (no IT needed) Thank you! Also not cheap junk from China

I purchased this wifi adapter for my Xerox Versalink C405 because I moved into a new house that didn't have many network wall jacks. It worked fine at first but then I kept getting error messages on the screen that caused me to unplug the printer and plug it back in to get it to print. I've since installed a wired network connection and have had no problems. I'm a few weeks beyond the return period otherwise I would have returned it. I will keep it in my networking parts storage bin if I'm in a bind but don't recommend it because of the problems I encountered.

The installation of the WIFI network adapter can be a bit tricky. There are some YouTube videos showing how to install it. The problem is it appears to be connected physically, but the electronic connection to the board may not be fully connected. Once installed, it works well.

Turn your printer off, plug in the adapter, start you printer, sign into Administrator, choose WiFi, enter your WiFi password, and you are ready to connect your devices. It was so easy, and it works very well! For 50 bucks, well worth it!!! Quite pleased, and wish I had done it when I bought the printer.

I can not get the printer / devise to connect to the wi-fi. It did not come with directions. I followed the you tube video multiple times hoping for a different result. I am sending back. It may just be a bad devise.
