This product is fundamentally flawed.
I cannot say whether the flaw is in the design itself or in the materials, but I purchased 2 boxes (4 handles) on the 7th of March, and within 3 weeks, 3 of the 4 handles had the identical break. I’ve attached a photo. They were installed properly in different areas, not used by the same individuals (1 weighs less than 45 lbs), and only for balance purposes, not weight bearing. In every circumstance, the breaks didn’t occur while being used, but while unattended. They were up on the tile at bed time, then the next morning, on the floor broken. We were lucky the breaks happened overnight; I would hate for someone’s loved one to depend on a product like this then become seriously injured because it snapped while in use. Don’t risk it, purchase a better product.Update: The 4th handle broke in the same place a couple of days ago.

Alternate Use
I have arthritis in my hands and spine. I purchased the shower handle assist bars because my sliding glass door is so heavy I can't open and close it without hurting myself. The slider is the main entrance to my home and there are two steps up from the outside. Reaching up from the step to open the door put too much stress on my back and I kept injuring myself. And, it's not easy to use those recess grabs on sliding doors when your hands don't work well.I've installed standard slider handles from Lowes but within a few weeks of use they kept coming loose and eventually, nothing could keep them tight. I've contacted the door manufacturer about handles but they don't make handles for this door. After seeing one of these suction shower handles in my sister's bathroom, I got an idea that maybe I could use two of these things on the heavy sliding glass door. So I did some research and got on Amazon. I didn't know if this bright idea of mine was going to work or not but when I saw this offer of two shower handles for the price of one of many of the other brands, I purchased the Oragalif shower handles. Since putting them on the inside and outside of my sliding glass door, I have been able to open and close this heavy slider with ease. They've stayed put and I go in and out all day. I'm going to get them for the shower now!I am very happy with my purchase. Very happy.

** one spontaneously released itself and fell.
Have a stall surround, fiberglass? i assume. Cleaned wall with scouring pad, wall was dry, went on, but i pulled on put weight on the handle, popped right off. I wet just suction cups and edges, then pushed them onto the wall with some pressure, then flipped button down. So far staying on solid, pulled on them this am, stuck pretty good. Leaning on them, putting more weight vs pulling or stabilizing probably would make them pop off.See how it goes, like to trial before my mom with dementia starts to use them. Obviously handles screwed into the wall would be better, but my type of shower stall does not allow for that. Will update if any change. ** were really stuck to shower walls, one that never moved spontaneously popped off wall, broke. But suction cup remained on wall, indicating an issue with the spring inside. First handle still on wall. Dont think I can fix the one that just released itself..but it is a simple enough product.

Don't waste your money!
Horrible quality! These are made of flimsy plastic. They did not stick to the tile. I cleaned the area with alcohol several times and reapplied. I had my husband put them on. They fell off the tile while we were in other room. My husband told me not to use them because I could get badly hurt using them. So complete waste of money! So disappointed!

GREAT VALUE FOR GREAT PRICE.
After my 88 year old husband had a fall in the tub, we knew we needed something for him to hold onto to help with his balance problems. Although his fall occurred in the tub at my daughter's home, I felt the grab bars were a necessity even in our walk in shower. Not only do they provide safety for him, I also feel safer. They are a perfect size to hold onto, and they're easy to install. We've only had these for about two months, and they have been secure since being installed. I would definitely recommend these grab bars. And a big plus........you can't beat the price.

WORK WELL AND SUPER VALUE FOR THE PRICE
A few years ago my mother purchased a set similar to these and in trying them out connected them to her kitchen table. Right at that time an earthquake hit and she held onto the Handle Bars and was shook around but did not fall and they did not come loose. Due to a recent knee injury, it became obvious I needed a safety handle bar to help me keep my balance getting into and out of our two tub and showers, one of which is a deep jet tub. They applied easily and work well. I think they were of great value for the money - there were two in the package for less than $15. I am extremely pleased with this purchase and would highly recommend them if you need that extra help keeping your balance.

Haven't had them up but about a week but they are sturdy for balancing yourself in getting out of tub
After using these for a couple months, they will not stay on the wall. I loved the way they felt and able to place where you want. But one fell off in the day and broke apart and the other, just this week while my husband was holding on to get out of shower, came off in his hands. I did follow instructions on hanging. Maybe they don't work well where you shower only. Maybe better when using tubs only.Hate these didn't work...Sharon
