I really wanted to like this camera. I especially liked the front LCD display to show the recording status. Unfortunately, the camera failed while formatting the included SD card. The camera just boots to the welcome screen and stays there...forever. I have to pull out the battery to turn off the screen. I never was able to see the video quality as it never recorded anything. I contacted Toopro Store, but was promised a replacement that never came, so my review is based on what I received. The camera I received looked used in that it had material and fingerprints under the "protective" clear stickers. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this camera. I may, however, try to purchase another one because I need the LCD upfront.**Update**I purchased a new camera at full price thinking I would get a better item, but it was actually worse. The second camera had really nasty palm prints all over the back of the camera. It again looked used. This time the rear LCD screen never came on. I tried charged batteries from the first, but no luck. Bummer, as I really wanted the front LCD. I really wish the seller took the time to inspect their products before shipping.

The first item I received was a little off on focus. After my inquiry the seller promptly sent me a replacement. I just tested it in a local water park this past week. I never used a gopro before but the video quality of this one was very good with vivid color saturation, especially under sunny condition. the underwater-footage was quite clear, too. BTW the included housing was indeed water-proof during one hour of usage. I really like the front LCD showing the recording status. For the price I paid I have no complaint.Another reviewer mentioned the included SD card is not fast enough for 4K recording. I did not experience this issue with my specimen.

The camera defaults to video on so when you turn the power on, it's shooting video rather than going to a standby condition. Secondly, the battery life is just minutes even in standby. The latch on the battery door was broken and I contacted the manufacturer who said they would send another but it did not come. The book did not do a good job of explaining features and operation. It could be a decent product with better software and battery life.
