Big Hammock!!
Although this hammock is rated as a double, it is probably better served as an extra large for a single person. This is the second one I had purchased after trying out the first one with two persons. The success of sleeping two in this hammock probably depends on both the size/weight of the individuals and the ambient temperature. We live in Florida so having two squished into this double hammock can get a little toasty. However, in cooler temps, we slept moderately well. Our combined weight was 320lbs which it had no trouble handling. After having done some hammock research, I did make a modification to the second hammock by adding a spreader bar to one end, effectively turning it into a half-bridge hammock. I purchased an appropriately rated Carbon Fiber rod for this purpose reinforced with a secondary sleeve. This effectively gives you much wider area around your head area and so made it much more comfortable for the two of us. I'm certain this would void your warranty if attempted yourself! Successful hammock camping does take some time and adjustment with variables such as finding good, SAFE, trees, the correct hang distance, incorporating the under-quilt and bedding, properly hanging of the bug net and careful handling when getting in and out of the hammock. There are plenty of resources on the web for helping with this. The hammock will require either a pad, under-quilt or both to protect from mosquitoes as they can and will bite you through the material. The netting however does its job very well when hung correctly. As a single user, the "diagonal lay" will help you to sleep flatter but you will need to hang the hammock at the correct distance apart. The straps worked perfectly and give you lots of adjustability. We have used ours for a few months now as both singles and a double and the stitching has shown no signs of separation. The bug net zipper can be somewhat tricky at first but continues to work well. The interior and exterior pouches are very handy. (exterior pouch is also the stuff sack for the hammock). Wish it had more storage pouches but for the prize, you get a good, well constructed hammock. All in all, for the price, this was an excellent purchase for us. We recently did an 8 day section hike on the AT and it worked great for our hammock camping needs. Probably not the lightest sleep system out there but the comfort is way better than tent camping IMHO.

Update x2
Extremely easy and fast to set up, I slept great in it so far, mosquito net held up great, kept all the bugs out and surprisingly enough held all of my gear (60 lb pack and boots) because it's so long and wide I couldn't even really tell I had my stuff in it just pushed it to the end and off to the side and I slept on other side, perfect. It's not very thick material which is great in hot climate , my back actually got cold in the night because I didn't put anything under me the first night out. No complaints so far and I'm very excited to get back out in a few days....Now that I have been sleeping in this for well over a week now I felt I should leave a better review. This thing is amazing. I sleep so good in it in able to not only sleep on my back but sleep through the entire night on my back. I have started using the mesh part as storage for small items, while in the hammock the walls fold up over you like a cocoon and keep rain out to an extent. I've slept through 3 nights of light rain so far to realize once I had woken up that it had rained, THAT'S how Comfortable I am in this hammock. I have no concerns about moving gently either with such a high weight load. The straps make it extremely easy to set up and literally doesn't even take 5 minutes. 10/10 would recommend.----- been sleeping in this for 2 weeks now.. it's absolutely perfect

super light and easy to pack
Extremely confortable, durable, well made, super light and easy to pack. To use the supplied tree straps think of them simply as oversized belts we people use. On one end you will find a loop at the very end of the tree strap, just select the trees you wish to use and place the tree straps around it as you do a regular belt and insert the other end through the loop on the one end and pull until is nice and snugged around the tree, there is no need to make any additional alterations or knots because after you hook up the hammock carabiners to one of the many carabiner hook up loops on the straps that provides you the appropriate hight of the hammock to the ground the weight in the hammock will keep things secure in most cases. You will most definitely enjoy and love this hammock, we have three of them and use them quite a bit, we just returned home from another camping trip and have to say that the quality of the product, convenience and ease of set up is remarkable, specially the fact that the mosquito net keeps you nice and secure from bugs. My wife and son absolutely love them. When I go for a day or more into the woods this hammock fits perfectly inside my day pack and has become an intricate part of my most have items. It keeps me of the ground, away from bugs and dry. In addition to it, I set a light weight tarp above and it keeps rain and snow away.Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and do definitely recommend this product

Awesome! QUALITY, COMFORT, & SPACE!
As soon as it arrived I had it setup in a 'curious' 10 mins. Won't take a couple of mins to do it next time. I was surprised at how well made this is. As I expected of course. Shipped fast for free shipping. I took a 40 min nap after I layed in it for the first time lol!!! I was being eaten alive by mosquitos while setting it up so as soon as I jumped in I zipped up. No more mosquitos! Huge plus with this and the Zipper is nice quality. As long as you have 2 trees you can use this for anything. I suggest tying mosquito net to a branch off your tree to provide more net space.I will be traveling 10,000 miles in September in the northwest and will likely camp in this on certain nights. Will test out first with my woman to see how well two people can relax in this. There is plenty of room!!!!! I am Near 6ft and 210 pounds. And my girlfriend is a little husky herself shorter than me and I feel like there should be plenty of space. Maybe for another lady ;) . Will update my review in October .
