Q: Did theses go up in price? I got two pair the other day for the price one pair it now. Why is that?

I really like these pants but the pricing is beyond me. I bought 2 pair the first of the month for 29 and change and another pair 2 days ago for 25 and change. There was one color that was priced at 55 while the rest of the colors were 25 so go figure. Also it seems their using a lighter weight fabric on the pants I just bought as opposed to the ones I bought 6 months ago.

Q: How does the sizing run?

2 sizes too big for me. Ordered my usual size 32/30, and they fit like 34/32.

Q: how high do they sit on the waist in a 48? I want something in more of a mid rise

I ordered a 48 waist x 34 length. They sit naturally at my regular waist location. They have enough natural stretchiness and room in the crotch that I could pull them up over my belly if I wished to. About as high as right at belt button height at the highest. At that height, though, you would not be able to rely on the included belt as it would not cinch tightly enough to hold the pants in place without the natural bulge of the hips to anchor it. (In fact, for anyone with a waist of 42 or higher I would recommend getting a better belt elsewhere. The included belt is sturdy enough but the clasping mechanism is just a smooth metal D-ring that will loosen slightly with natural movements throughout the day.

Q: Do these pants have an elastic waist band?

The waist is not elastic. Worse, the "belt" that comes with it constantly slips/loosens. I brought a good belt and the pants then worked ok.

Good fit

Good fit and comfortable, well made looks to be thick and warm and includes a canvas style belt. Plenty of pockets I have not washed them yet but the care label looks easy to follow.
