Gregory Mountain Products Jade 38 Backpacking Backpack

I'm 5'9 and the sm/md fits perfect. I love that it has the rainfly and side pocket. Going to be great for an overnighter.

The quality is good, color is beautiful, size is fit.

Really amazed at how nicely this set on my back, and the difference the hip belt made with respect to adding more weight. Plenty of pockets to separate items depending on required ease of access. My only complaints are: 1) the webbing on the shoulder straps will rub against my neck, so I'll need to cover with soft cloth, and 2) I wish there were tie-on's at the bottom to attach 4 season sleeping bag. n Overall, I'm very happy to have found this pack.

I tried on 5 different backpack models from various brands. The Gregory Jade 38 was by far the best looking one. I wanted to love it so badly. It gets 5 stars as far as the design aspects ... lots of awesome compartments, 2 ways to access the main compartment, great blue color, quality feel, nicely sized compartments on the hip belt, free float suspension keeps you cool, rain cover included, adjustable size, good price for the qualityHowever, I knocked off 2 stars because good looks and good design (in theory) did not make for a proper fit. I'm 5'2, 110 lbs and purchased the size S/XS. No matter how I adjust the straps and the shoulder straps I can not get this backpack to feel comfortable. The worst thing is that when adjusted properly for my height, the shoulder straps squeeze and uncomfortably rub against my neck. This would likely quickly cause chaffing. I tried adjusting the straps every which way for various weight distribution and ended up having to over tighten the straps to get a fit that didn't feel as weird but still felt weird. Even on the lowest setting the chest strap that buckles in front was too high on my body. No matter how I adjusted the height of the shoulder straps, they did not wrap around my body in a comfortable way. The backpack felt awkward and uncomfortable. Is it me or is it just the backpack? I am not sure but I found a backpack that I like much better in the Osprey Sirrus 36. Too bad the Sirrus has tiny hip pockets. If the Gregory backpack fit me better it would have been my first choice.

I have used this pack on several day hikes and love it!There are straps on the front that help make the pack smaller in size when it’s not completely full. This is helpful to keep your items stationary while climbing up and down mountain trails. The straps also extend to a large size to fill the pack fully. And there’s a lot of room!A HUGE benefit is the adjustable shoulder size. This is worth every penny!!! I had my doubts about this feature until I put the pack on and adjusted it. It changes where the pack rests around your lower back.The back is slightly curved with a vented mesh. This also has a big impact on a hot summer day.I almost bought an older model on Amazon for a cheaper price and I’m so glad I didn’t. The features on this pack are worth the price!!

座高に合わせて超絶出来るので背負った時のフィット感が良いです。背面はネットになっていて背中の熱がこもらないようになっています。

JADE53を持っていて、こちらも素晴らしいザックですが、普段使いには大きすぎるので、今回同じシリーズの38を購入。色はマヤンティール。とても素敵な色で、機能もバッチリ。背負い心地もバッチリ。しかも軽い！大満足！まだ本格的に登山には使えてないのですが、山仲間も旧タイプを使っていたけど、今回私と同じものの色違いを購入したとのこと。同じザック背負って、またいろんな山に登ることを楽しみにしてます！注文してすぐ届いたのもうれしかったです。
